They fixed the kamis by BW2, the muskadeers were pretty neat and we had fucking Metal Gear Ray: Thunder Dragon and a really neat burning ice fusion thing for Reshiram. Only disappointment was like, Keldeo and incarnate forms.
N was still right and half of plasma was still with him. It was only bad in BW2 because neo-plasma basically turned into Team Rocket 2.

The plot was over bearing, especially in BW2. They didn't even give a reason for most of the musketeers to be caught, they just sat there in your way. There was no need to find them or anything.
Reshiram and Zekrom were pretty sweet, but Kyurem, on top of being ugly as shit, I feel could have been done better. The Kami got strange animal forms, for no real reason, or at least I don't fucking know what. And that little Pony thing got a new form, which is fine, but its form changed literally nothing about it.
Victini and Meloetta are really cool, and Genesect wasn't even fucking relevant in the game. It was just hinted at and then handed out a generation later.
And N's pretty fucking unbearable. When the game puts your "ideals" on the line at least once before every gym, it kinda loses its impact. And Neo Plasma was neat, but Corless was really fucking boring. And the story always seemed like a chore. In just about every gen the plot was usually where you were going anyway, but in gen 5 you'd usually have to go out of your way to do something that felt like a sidequest to deal with something that hardly seemed like it mattered.

Honestly, people forget two major things about Pokemon and their designs
1) Lots of pokemon particularly early on, were drawn and created before they were even put into the games. For instance Girafarig existed before Gen 2 was even in development.
2) Earlier games had simpler designs because of lower visual quality. Meaning you had less detail on pokemon, and why later pokemon have more spikes and stripes and segmented colors.
There will be designs you like and dislike in each generation. The best part is it's all opinion. A design you like could be one someone else hates and vice versa.

Its not about the VAs, it's the music. Apparently it's cheaper to make your own music than to license the OST, and the dub fucking ruins it with persistent, shit sounding background noise. It's a totally different experience with the original audio.
Also, this Ash hate is fucking stupid. He was an idiot in gen 1 because he was a beginner. He got progressively better until it took a cheating legendary user to beat him in gen 4. They rebooted him into an idiot in gen 5 which is why we all ignore it. In gen 6 he's pretty fucking based.
