My dad chucked and broke my Gameboy Advance in a rental car once. I wouldn't trade Pokemon with my brother I wanted him to learn to play the game, so I was going to trade him something that would help him beat the next gym, but he wasn't having that. We had also had our flight delayed, had to re-route through several flights to get to our destination, so my dad was just not willing to deal with his two sons arguing about Poke-mans in the backseat. Somehow it hit the back of the headrest and smashed the windshield. The screen was completely busted; looked almost exactly like that. Fortunately, he got me a new DS when it came out.

I accidentally poured some water on my DS Lite touch screen and I freaked the fuck out when the touch screen went all black and the D-Pad stopped working.
Two days later the touch screen works fine and I just have to push Up really hard on the d-pad, but every other direction works fine. I don't play my DS much anymore because pushing up so hard hurts my thumbAlso I only ever had like 3 games, but it works 10/10.

Yeah, there's a thing called "Goo Gone" which I use for dirty covers for vinyl records and DVD cases, but it works fine with plastic too.

Never buy ANYTHING from HP. They're seriously the jewest place I've ever done tech support for. They use shitty parts and charge way too much for them, and refuse unless proven beyond a shadow of a doubt to replace anything broken on their systems.
I can't tell you the amount of fucking times I had to try not to kill myself as my work mandated I guide old ladies through reseating RAM and disconnecting/reconnecting PSU plugs because HP absolutely required you try everything before sending out replacement parts.

Its not the color that bothers me the most, its how fucking cheap the vita looks now. The screen looks like a sony mini tablet shoved into a $20 control pad made for it. Not having the matte background on the buttons and d-pad and replacing the entire front body with shiny ass plastic is just terrible.
They took such a sexy design and made it shitty looking. Im sure its better for durability and repairs or something but its like staring at the before and after of a shitty plastic surgery on an attractive person.
