It's a difference of taste, Kazooie offers singular levels that you can get a snowy level or swampy level and get absorbed in that atmosphere.
Tooie is more you want to to go to a new level get three to four jiggies, back track to an older level with a new move to get an extra two jiggies, unlock world 3, get three jiggies from world 3 then go back to 2 then back to 1 again

The Day and Night mechanic would work well in Banjo, but not in a game that requires backtracking each level five times. The dual world system just jumps that up to exploring every area ten times.

The ports are fine. The only issue some people have is that notes are permanently collected in Kazooie, but the game wasn't ever that hard in the first place. There is a glitch, though, that makes some of the notes uncollectable if you do all of the puzzles in your house before finishing the levels. Supposedly there was a patch to fix it but it didn't work for me. The improved controls and higher res sprites made up for the shortcomings in my opinion. I think the 360 version is a lot better.
Tooie is unchanged other than that Stop'n'Swop works now, so you have to collect the stuff in Kazooie first to use it.

I was gonna write something about my opinion on Kazooie vs Tooie but you guys summed it up pretty well already.
>Tooie is more you want to to go to a new level get three to four jiggies, back track to an older level with a new move to get an extra two jiggies, unlock world 3, get three jiggies from world 3 then go back to 2 then back to 1 again
Tooie is probably not a great game to actually speedrun but this makes me really curious about what a well optimized route for it would look like for some reason

I just came to gloat. Played the first Banjo-Kazooie when it first came out and loved it like a normal person. This thread reminded me that I never played Banjo-Tooie. Just downloaded the rom and I think I'll do that tomorrow. Only problem is my tv is too new so it probably won't look the greatest.
