Watching the show makes it seems like one of the reasons why Cao Cao is so good is because he somehow knows everything. Some event happened far away, and he knew of it. I really like how all the stories revolving around the Three Kingdoms era are basically all about Shu and Wei. Wu just happens to be there and doesn't really do much.
Wu was around before the last nail was hammered into the Han coffin, so their story of formation isn't told. Their most noteworthy event is Sun Jian dying because muh emporer's seal.
It's a shame since there likely was a lot of interesting internal affairs in their kingdom but none of it was as interesting and the feuding between Wei and Shu.

This is completely wrong. Wei and Wu had way more battles of way larger scale than anything Shu could muster. The only reason why Shu even lasted as long as it did was because Wei could not completely focus on destroying it due to the threat of Wu on the flank.
Wu was far stronger than Shu, and left a far greater impact on history. China only extends as far south as it does today because of the process of southern colonization that began under Wu in its effort to extract resources in the south to fend off the north.
