It's not that hard to get.
Out of the two, Robin had more potential for a varied playstyle, mainly since he is a magic user, a type of FE character not playable in Smash before.
Lucina was always going to be in the game regardless of her being a different character or not. The way she's treated in the trailer simply shows she's a bonus for whoever likes her, while Robin is the "definitive" newcomer.
