In MGS3, I never learned CQC.
I thought the 3 button combo was it

I beat the game using only tranqs on ny firstplaythrough because of this

I thought that shit was just for weapons until the final boss used it against me.

What, the tutorial taught you how to use it

In Castlevania Rebirth, you can use the wiimote like a whip.
>>
You can lean in MGS4 with the left/right buttons on the d-pad.

Not really something I found through multiple playthroughs but back when DMC3 was released I played it at least 2 hours every day when I got in from school for 2-3 years without knowing that jump cancelling was even a concept until YouTube told me.

I was like 10 when I got it.

If you hold the activate button on Fallout 3/New Vegas, you can keep drinking water without stopping. I feel like a fool barley finding out in January

Shaking your PS3 controller gets rid of the currently used texture of Octocamo.

This also works during cutscenes.

I've spent hours randomly grinding while trying to fing the quest objectives.

In Pokemon games, accuracy numbers on the moves are a percentage.

In Mario Galaxy you can spin while crouching, and Mario will sweep his foot out in front of him. You can also spin just before a ground-pound, and he will home in on an enemy and slam them with his feet.

In Total Annihilation:Kingdoms, the Tarosian monarch Lokken can make himself invisible. Though this ability is not represented in the UI (since his three spell slots are filled with the usual monarch spells), pressing 'n' will turn Lokken invisible, just as with the assassins of Aramon.
>>
>>253617446
Yeah I did, want to fight about it?

I don't regret it at all. At that time I'd always go crazy with the console and ruin the game in a flurry of god mode fuckery. I'm glad I was limited to glitches like escaping as a baby and hopping through rubble to get into the citadel immediately, and also the searching corpses through walls trick with the camera focus.

Also in TA:Kingdoms. the Aramon monarch Elsin can raise dead units (including enemy builders), while the Dark Priests of Taros can only transform corpses into ghouls. In the Iron Plague expansion pack, the Creonite Chief Engineers can turn corpses into automatons.

In Metal Gear Solid 1, holding Square + X while running allows you to shoot the SOCOM while moving. The game doesn't hint at this even once, except for a tiny demonstration bit (if you complete all the VR Missions).

Also, remember when Miller told you about moving over grated surfaces? He was actually telling you to press a direction in the d-pad repeatedly, instead of holding it. It works.

In Ace Combat Zero, you actually have to wait until the word SHOOT appears on your HUD to fire a missile with 100% accuracy. If you only go by the Lock-On sounds and lights, you'll miss a lot.

I've gone up to stage 18 without knowing it. I wasted an average of 50 missile every stage. After realizing that, I didn't waste even 1.

Some people don't read manuals, or play the tutorials, or read the tips shoved down your throat all the way up to Bladewolf. Some people are natural retards.
>>
>>253620346

It... Says right at the bottom of the screen.

Not that it's a very good tactic, unless you're plowing through an old dungeon or you're fighting Phys-weak enemies
>>
The first time I played VTMB, I played as a Malkavian, and on top of it I'm not a native english speaker, so I didn't even notice that there was a tutorial.
I made my way through most of the first hub just by feeding and sneaking
>>
>>253620595
If you don't want to be raped you have to go back to the last dungeon and grind a bit and go back and face the optional boss.
Its useful in that situation.

In P3FES auto attacking isn't too bad most of the time since your AI partners already help you.
>>
>>253619305
Not that anon, but the issue is the tutorial just says "do a light attack in the direction of the enemy" which (to me) implies I can hold the stick in that direction and press L.Atk every time I want to parry. It never mentions the stick has to be reset for each successive parry.

I figured out how to parry, but I could never figure out why it only worked like 10% of the time, and only with the first attack of an enemy's combo. Later on I figured out it's because I was standing still, with the stick neutral.
>>
>>253619516
I knew about that, but I find it's such a small icon that I barely notice it. I just fire on instinct and I usually hit. My instincts tend to line up with the SHOOT indicator.
>>
>you can fly in pokemon blue and red

In my defense it was decently hidden.

Also when I did get it I was confused why it was an HM because it didn't do anything special for me because the only flying pokemon I had was Charizard so I assumed it was just a standard move that Gamefreak was nice enough to let use re-use on all pokemon.
