Super Mario Land is probably my second or third favorite Mario game. I still play it often. But even I wouldn't mind a remake if it was done correctly.

Daisy joins the battle!! Her physical abilities are identical to Peach's--it must be in her D.N.A. However, where Peach's power is concentrated in the tip of the pan, Daisy's attack strength is balanced throughout the cooking apparatus, which might make her easier to control. She's also a little bit shorter than Peach.
With the Wii Fit Trainers, the male and female Robins, the Villagers, and Little Mac, varying their appearances and voices works just like selecting alternate color variations. However, whenever there is even a small difference in abilities, that character gets an actual roster slot. That is why you can select Daisy individually.
A remake of Super Mario Land would be nice. They could even change it up and have it be Luigi saving Daisy, and call it Super Luigi Land.
