I hate spider enemies because they always poison you without fail, and they always appear in huge groups. Spiders don't swarm like that in real life. Whether it is a slow down, some kind of dodge or their ability to stay out of your range. These kinds of enemies never actually do any fucking damage to you. They just dance around the field and avoid getting hit just to waste your fucking time.

The teleporting enemies in Terraria usually aren't too bad but the Necromancers can suck a dick. They teleport every time you hit them and their attacks are hitscan bouncing lasers that are guaranteed to hit you in the enclosed locations you fight them in. Even worse when they teleport around a corner and can still hit you.

Their weapon is pretty great if you can get it, though

It's not even like he's hard to kill, it's that everything else in the game is ridiculously challenging. Every other enemy offers some sort of challenge forcing you to think differently in the game, from Wonderland to Aladdin's world, this is the only repeating enemy in that game that doesn't offer any sort of strategic value at all, even his placement is just in front of halls or corridors you would be able to get past normally, but you can kill him by jumping over him so it's stupid.

Like if they put this guy instead of that in KH, I'd understand the size.

It's almost a tie between the Flood and Chieftans.

But Brute Chieftans take the cake. They break every rule of the game, except the one where shooting kills them.

All plasma deflects, they are almost invulnerable to live ammunition, grenades bounce off them, melee is almost impossible if they have a hammer, and then you have to use several headshots after the armor is gone to put one down.

You have to be explicitly offensive to them if you want to kill them, which is retarded for a game like Halo where the battle continues well after the death of one opponent. Not that it's easy or anything, it's just amazing how many ways they can screw you over.

Erratic, endless, small, fast-moving flying enemies.

You know medusa heads from castlevania? Well picture that that they can now change their vertical direction randomly.

These skulls pictured do just that, and they replace all medusa heads in Castlevania 3's second quest. Hell, they'll also show up in places that were free of medusa heads previously. In places like the clock tower and the mines, there will be segments where you just can't hope to reliably avoid them unless you have the stopwatch, which in the case of the mines is not even available in the stage.

Funny thing is that these enemies aren't even the most dangerous of their kind. There's a segment with rising water where you have to leap across crumbling platforms with fishmen jumping up below you and bats flying at you randomly from the right or left. During the second quest those bats are so fast and constant that getting through is nearly impossible if you don't have Alucard and his bat form to help out... and even then it's still very harrowing.
