Not because of some moral ground (how would that even make sense in the story? the protag just goes "nope" and starts jogging his way back to America?), but because it was a boring cover shooter. I don't want to be some great hero, I want to complete the challenges of the game and play through to the end.
It's the same thing for Hotline Miami. It's fun not because I enjoy killing people, but because I enjoy mastering navigation of the space and use of the items given.
