I'm using WaniKani to learn kanji, but I don't really know how to start approaching grammar. With stuff like Tae Kim's guide and Genki I wind up reading a bunch all at once and then not remembering any of it. I want something that forces me to pace myself like WaniKani does for kanji.

The runes aren't completely unique, there are common elements called radicals from which they're composed. They're not that hard to memorize, it just takes time. And as I said earlier, once you start learning, you'll love kanji. There are too many homophones in the language.

Bought this little motherfucker recently to learn kanji an it's been going well so far.
Only bad thing is the way the book is actually put together. The kanjis shown have no order of appearance (like sorting by difficulty or genre) and a lot of them aren't even used anymore. The autor jus didn't gave a fuck.
But in about 3 days studing for 1 hour I've been able to memorize about 80 of them little bitches, so that's good.

Literally curious here. How did you learn Japanese? If you learned Japanese in order to import games and play them in Japanese, do you fully understand them as you would in English? Or is something missing but you get the main idea? How difficult is it to learn Japanese?
