When you press lb you're opening up your inventory but in ranger mode you can't see shit because there's no hud and this is a problem because there's no fucking way to know what the fuck your boy is holding. The most difficult part of playing this game is figuring out where to go next in a bunch of dark tunnels that all look the same. I'm killing monsters with the knife or I simply outrun them and make a comrade kill them for me. Human enemies get one bullet to the head. Ammo scarcity doesn't mean shit when you don't fucking need ammo.

For the most part the only thing that will fuck you is selecting side equipment like claymores and throwing knives. The invisible qtes all use the same button E and if you fail it it's very forgiving and starts you right at the qte again.

Not even true. I finished Metro 2033 3 times. Once on Ranger easy and 2 times on ranger hardcore. I sure got my ass kicked the first time on ranger easy when I didn't buy enough filters and choked to death later on because of that and then when I couldn't complete the game because I ran out of bullets at the end of the game, had to start from Polis over again.
But in LL it's completely bullshit. They expect you to try things out randomly instead of relying on strategies and skill. Like you don't even know what button you're supposed to press for QTEs.
