Post your codes if you want them played. I'll be playing the first few levels that get posted here.
Mercedes costume is out now and oddly the event course is actually kind of good.

I haven't been impressed with a costume event course yet. Not sure why Nintendo goes full retard when designing them. Also, it's great that a Mercedes got in before Daisy

I don't want to say that I set out to make a jerk asshole level, but I wanted it to be as hard or maybe harder then the original level. I'm glad that it turned out rather hard to beat. It stays true to the original level.

Of course, you don't have to play every level I posted, just the ones that catch your attention.
>>
>>319615872
No anon, just no.
Just. No.

I don't have words to describe your level. You don't happen to be Japanese do you?
>>
>>319615872
I was able to beat it.
Positive points: the spike duck and jump area, that was pretty fun actually
Negative points: pretty much everything else. The area right after the checkpoint is way too slow and the bone coast after is a little too demanding. I was lucky to find the hidden cape to damage boost through otherwise I would have quit right there.

Deus Ex Magikoopa 2: Fire & Ice
DA61-0000-0105-ACD2

These courses feel more like Metroid than Mario. The second one is a little easier, but it's also a little longer. Both have four pseudo-checkpoints early and two real checkpoints later. They also have flashy endings and lots of optional secrets.

If anyone can make it through either of these, I'll play everything you've made as soon as I see you on the course history.

I'm heading to bed now, but I'll check my notifications tomorrow.
>>
>>319616591
Can't play any of your new ones at the moment but your levels do a good job of replicating the feel of DK levels. The K-O-N-G coins are a neat touch too.

I played Veiled Villa a while back. That's a very creative use of invisible blocks.

It would help if you spaced your lines a bit. Your post and your pic are kind of hard on the eyes.
>>
>>319616591
A lot of the difficulty in Toxic Tower came from the fact that the game's vertical camera kinda sucks so it's a lot of trial and error to see what actually's going to kill you on the way up for a couple of the rooms.

Hey, I actually ran into your Toxic Tower level by chance when searching through levels. Love the idea as a huge DKC fan, but it's just... way too hard for me.

I'll try out your other DKC levels though.

I want to go full autistic and make a world with a world map with secret exits.

For example, when you beat the level the normal way I leave a Miiverse comment with the last 2 digits of the next level code, and when you go the secret exit way you get a different code. The world map could just be a jpg or simple website with blanks for you to write in the missing part of the code.

On the first one, I reached a part where you need the spiny helmet to get through, but I already hit the checkpoint so I couldn't find one, so I had to restart, and it started me from the beginning instead of the checkpoint, so I quit.

On the second one, it took me forever to figure out things, which is normal for me, since I suck at puzzle levels. Took everything I had to get past the shell part barely alive, only to find that I still needed the fire flower, so I quit.

I'm just no good at puzzle levels, and those are puzzle levels on the level of that thinking time guy, who's levels I couldn't beat either. Sorry, I let ya down.

Web Woods was brilliant! Hopping on Donuts removing fireballs with Yoshi was mechanically very similar to the webslinging madness of the original level. I'll be revisiting your levels for sure.

I left you a little present in the comments, hope you rike it.
>>
>>319619148
Ok, I can try to space them better next time, but I will have to shrink the text in the image by a lot and make it microscopic.
>>319620292

>>
>>319625927
Yeah, that's my calling card for my levels. I try to make the levels similar in gameplay more so then in looks, but when I can I try to do both. Also, thanks for the comment.
>>
>>319621639

Hey, gave your level a try. Great flavor! Koopas with Cannons on their back, a weapon to surpass metal gear?
>>
>>319625481
Played through your 4-1 twice for both paths, both were fun. The secret shmup section was cool in the fact that it was difficult but never become overwhelming or too much of a bullet hell, it was very balanced. I think my favorite part of the main path was when you started to make the runway dangerous by using those piranha plants which was a cool progression from the chain chomp parts. The only problem I had with the level is that the chain chomps were a bit unpredictable from above and so I got hit by them from out of sight once or twice. Also you can damage boost through the chomps and get to the next bottom platform without flying, which is fine but I'm just pointing it out if you didn't notice. I'll totally play through the rest of your levels in the future.
>>
>>319626952

Thanks for the feedback! I thought about fixing the jump through, but there was some other things I want to tweak later too, so I'm gonna save it for my total revision once I finish world 4. Probably adjust some of the high chomps as well, maybe trim it down a bit. Thanks again, I'll be throwing more stars your way in the future.

Huh, haven't seen a mario maker thread at this hour in a long time.

MegaMario Kuribo Man: DE4B-0000-010C-DFB7

This is the latest in a megaman-esque campaign I've been making. If you like it make sure to check my profile for the others and/or follow me for more. After finishing all the stages I'm going to go back and restructure(including checkpoints) so make sure to tell me if you think anything needs changing. Any and all feedback is appreciated and I'll always return the favor.

Wily stage 1 is actually pretty much complete. I'm just fine tuning the boss and then gotta upload it, but I'll do it later.

In the meantime I'll be playing various things in this thread. Reply to this post if you got something you want me to check out.
>>
>>319616141
At first I thought the mercedes one was kind of shitty but then I did all the alternate paths. It's a pretty full and detailed level.

Costume is pretty neat too, even if it is marketing.
>>
>>319615872
Beat this in one try after immediately restarting for those first hidden blocks.

It's obvious this is your first level. It's oversaturated with sound effects, is way too long even with the checkpoint, and generally feels like you just want people who play it to hate you. Don't misuse hidden blocks like that, and don't have challenges that rely on pretty much already knowing what's ahead of you(I just made a bunch of lucky fluke jumps that made my way around the level, but even the average GOOD player isn't going to make it through this as easily as I did).

Hey thanks, I ended up playing yours as well! I ended up finding a lot of the paths you had set up, and I thought the boss fight was creative! Just those note block have weirdly strict timing, so there was a lot of unintentional bumping into boos and going back for the propeller hat. Level's really solid though!

>>319617740
Your level's pretty fucking awesome, I'll have to come back. I got as far as the buzz saw area on the first one, I'll give it another go later on.

>>
>>319616591
>>319619148
I think you just need to make some kind of infographic like >>319620703 if you want to mass post them. You could make the image as big as you need it as long as it fits the upload limit. It'd probably be too time consuming to do all of them but you could have like a good looking list and then just screens from your favorites/ones your most proud of. Updating it might be a hassle, but you could just update it in bulk chunks. I'm sure people going through your stuff are gonna use your profile and see the others anyway.
>>
>>319629713
You could use the home menu to cheese it if it still lets you. That's the best advantage your getting though.
>>
Course Name: - Treetop Trouble
ID: - 5653-0000-0112-453B
Gameplay Description - Sort of a homage to the tree levels from Donkey Kong Country 3. I tried to incorporate elements from all the levels. Even have a section where you turn into the parrot! I substituted that part by giving a lakitu cloud and a fire flower :) There's also a bonus section that I feel was kinda cool to make, sort of like an inside out tree.

Also there is this
Level Title: Knee of Justice
ID: 4CEB-0000-010B-A5EC

I had trihex play this one and he fucking loved it, and despite myself explaining in a thread how I can't take credit for the contraption, tattletale's felt the fucking need to cry omg he plagiarised without even knowing what the word means.
>>
>>319622242
Sadly you will be foiled by the fact that people can just look at your profile.
>>
>>319629717
>I think you just need to make some kind of infographic like >>319620703 if you want to mass post them.

Tried. Too many images.

>You could make the image as big as you need it as long as it fits the upload limit.

Which is why I go with just one picture to have all my codes.

>It'd probably be too time consuming to do all of them but you could have like a good looking list and then just screens from your favorites/ones your most proud of.

Time consuming isn't a problem for me.
There are only two levels I don't consider my favorite. So no, having a shorter list isn't a option.

>Updating it might be a hassle, but you could just update it in bulk chunks. I'm sure people going through your stuff are gonna use your profile and see the others anyway.

True, but plenty of other people I have found just skim one level code they find online, and don't check out the person's profile at all. Usually because they didn't know that you could do that.
I also have seperate images for each of my levels, not pictures of the levels, but a picture with the level and text describing the level and my methods of making it, but that is also 60 pictures since I am at 60 levels, so its too much to put into one image.

The text list is the best solution I could find.
>>
>>319623927
This was pretty great, but maybe put a ceiling layer on the shmup part? I felt like I cheesed alot of it just by staying near the top and going above screen.

Either way starred and followed to play the rest of your stuff later.
>>
>>319630586
I suppose.

Maybe just try putting it in a different font on a colored background in paint or something. I think as it is it's kind of hard to look at and even more overwhelming than it already is. But honestly it's your stuff so list it however you want.
>>
>>319630586
You could probably organize the levels by game or world if you wanted to. Maybe even put the original map screens behind them as a little visual thing.

Here's a new one screen puzzle I made, except it's really stretching the definition of "one screen". You can't mess up the puzzle and get to a point where you need to start again but you can die from stage hazards. I hope I didn't make it too frustrating.
