For general purpose:
Tentatek Splattershot
-Ninja squid, Ink resistance, and a buttload of Ink Saver Main and defence up subs.
For tower control:
Usually Tentatek, but sometimes Luna Blaster (vanilla) for the easy kills on the tower. Suction bombs are god in this mode.
For splat zones:
Luna Blaster Neo- a bomb rush is basically a free cap. Or Tentatek.
Sometimes use an N-Zap orange, because a well placed sprinkler and constant airstrikes will hold down a zone even if you don't make a single kill.
For Rainmaker:
Tentatek. Or .52 gal. Not much to say here- I hate this mode.

Took about a day and a half from B flat rank. I've been playing really well the last few days, though, so your mileage may vary. Besides, according to some recent JP Splatoon data the vast, vast majority of Ranked players are S or S+, so it probably isn't even that hard to get to. Just requires persistence, I suppose.
