Do you think the new Odin Sphere remake will be good /v/?
Are you looking forward to it?
What's your favorite Vanillaware game?
I loved it for ps2, I think it was the last game I bought for ps2 before ps3. I got a fan translated version of grand knights history for psp. Art was amazing and gameplay too, but it seemed super Grindy with little progression so I stopped after a while.
I buy like all vanilla ware rpg games. Come for the tits, stay for the fun should be their motto.

>Do you think the new Odin Sphere remake will be good /v/?
Every Vanillaware game has improved on the previous one. I anticipate this one, being a remake that focuses on gameplay improvements, will do the same.
>Are you looking forward to it?
Yes. I'm interested in all vanillaware games. I liked the original Odin Sphere in story. But it needs a total overhaul of sprite movement and collisions. As well as the alchemy system. Hopefully these are the things the remake is going to fix.
>What's your favorite Vanillaware game?
Oboro Muramasa
>>319257446
The devs have shown they constantly work on improving their formula. Odin sphere was held back by a lot of shitty things, which seem to be gone now.
I'm looking forward to it, yeah. I have liked most of their games.
Muramasa is really their best game right now, on the vita. Good base game, great DLC.
>>319257981
How big is the DLC?
I've got the base game physically.
>>319258054
All of them combined are about 330 mb
>>319258196
Oh that's not to bad then.
Considering the remake also comes with a remaster of the original, it can only be better than the original, really. It looks quite good, from what they've shown. Definitely looking forward to it. I like the original, but it can be improved upon in so many ways.
Favorite Vanillaware title is easily Muramasa, especially with the DLC. All of them were fantastic.
>>319257446
>Do you think the new Odin Sphere remake will be good /v/?
Yes I do I hope they ironed things out some more in it too.
>Are you looking forward to it?
Yeah.
>What's your favorite Vanillaware game?
I enjoyed the all and I can't really pick just yet.
>>319257870
come for the tits, stay for thefood
Yes.
Yes.
Odin Sphere, gameplay wise wasnt the best but the story alone made it better.
Muramasa was more fun to play
Dragon's crown was ok, didnt enjoy it as much.
Grim Grimmoire was... weird, could've worked nicely on PC
I'm super hyped for Odin Sphere. It's a shame the storybook edition is PS4 only.
Has the Muramasa DLC ost been uploaded anywhere?
>>319257446
Dragon's Crown for pc when?
>>319258793
Vanillaware did they say they were interested in exploring the PC market. So who knows.
The upcoming Vanillaware games and Dragon Quest games are literally the only thing I am hyped for.
I really hope with the announcement of an Odin Sphere remake that a full 1080p HD port of Muramasa for PS3 and PS4 will follow.
>>319258880
Those niggas better bring their games to PC, god knows I'd buy them a third time and replay that shit
>>319258880
Would you a PC version of Odin Sphere, Muramasa and Dragon's Crown?
>>319258983
I'd be interested sure.
>>319258983
If they were full 1080p and worked with my PS2 adapter, then yes.
>>319258983
Honestly, if Dragon's Crown went to PC, I could see it becoming the next Dark Souls fad. Dragon's Crown would go from 1 million units sold to like 10 million and be the top 'anime style' game played on steam.
I got all the endings for Momohime and Kisuke as well as all 4 DLC characters. All I have to do now is clear out the evil caves and a fury mode run.
and maybe a speed run or something. I can't say I'm looking forward to do fury mode run though.
>>319258983
Dragon's Crown on PC would be fucking amazing. I'm sure the playerbase would stay alive way longer than the console/vita community did.
>>319258921
>ps3
Let it die, senpai.
>>319258983
If they actually released a Japanese version.
Getting pretty sick of this "PC version has every language except Japanese" shit.
>>319259306
eh... don't think so, but I think they'd fare pretty well on PC, if Idea factory is selling their shit a good game should do reasonably well
If they made DLC scenarios for this, what would you want to see?
>>319259402
Honestly, Fury isn't that bad since you get the easy-mode blocking.
>>319259467
Japan is keeping the PS3 alive. And not everyone in the west owns a PS4 yet. Despite what the Sony defenders claim.
I won't have the money to buy a PS4 for a while. I personally can afford a $40 game on PS3. But not $400 for a new console and a game.
>>319259402
it's not as bad as it sounds, fury mode enables autoblocking. Just gotta play smart (and spam stones if you have the chance)
>>319259467
well it is getting games still.
>>319259689
>Japan is keeping the PS3 alive
I thought it was the PSP.
>>319259714
>>319259612
Oh really? I assumed it'd be like Chaos mode where you don't have auto-block. I'll have to try it then.
>>319259757
You mean the Vita? Japan is also keeping that alive.
>>319258261
>remake also comes with a remaster of the original
really? do you have a source?
Should I wait for the remake or start playing the PS2 version

Ive never played Odin Sphere but Ive had my eye on this PS4 release for a while. The art style is interesting and I like the PS2 gameplay I watched.
>>319259898
It's listed for April 12th on amazon and other sites so the question is if you're willing to wait that long.
>>319259757
The psp lasted for years in japan, they just recently shut down its psn store.
>>319257446
i have never played odin sphere and have no idea what to expect but i preordered it on vita
>been playing the fuck out of Muramasa lately
>those ninjas with their fucking chain and sickle and the elite ninjas that fucking explode when they die
Fucking hell.
>>319259865
Angelique Retour is coming out for PSP on the 17th.
>>319259868
http://www.siliconera.com/2015/07/21/odin-sphere-leifdrasir-will-include-a-remake-and-also-the-original-version-in-hd/
It is something they said pretty much right after the announcement of the remake.
>>319257446
I prefer Chocolateware
I forget, is Odin Sphere that weird 2D RTS game?
>>319260023
>atlus
>dual audio
the absolute madmen, they actually did it
>>319260494
No that was Grim Grimmoire.
>>319257446
I'm hyped as fuck. Vanillaware is my favorite dev.
So what version are you getting?
The PS4 storybook edition is very tempting but I dont have a PS4 and there isn't much on that system that interests me.
I might just get it on Vita.
>>319260743
Vita
>>319260496
The original PS2 version of Odin Sphere was one of the few Atlus games to have dual audio. The remake better have it.
>>319257446
>Odin Sphere remake
>new
>>319260743
PS4 for me.
>>319260743
PS4 for full 1080p and not being on a dead system.
>>319260743
The LE does seem rather nice to have.
Hm I just don't know I'll see I can help getting it.
Does anyone have that video showing the differences between the PS2 and PS4 versions of OS? It's an unlisted video on atlus japan's youtube.
>>319261237
Would people really wear that shirt if they buy this?
>>319261237
>Mystery Art Print
Please be a fucking pin up poster of Velvet.
>>319261404
I'm sure some people will.
>>319257446
>Do you think the new Odin Sphere remake will be good /v/?
Dunno. it looks good. never played the original
>Are you looking forward to it?
Kinda. more excited about 13 Sentinels Aegis Rim
>What's your favorite Vanillaware game?
Dragon's Crown. Elf a best
>>319261404
If it's comfy i'd wear it around the house
>not having comfy house clothes to do things in
>>319261425
It would be cool.
They were being duplicitous! It was all a ruse!
>>319261941
I always had a giggle each time hearing that.
>>319261404
Shit I would. Barring that dumb copyright text under it, the design is vague enough to be cute and still hide your power level.
>>319259306
the biggest problem with DC is that they updated with that neverending dungeon and a 255 lvl cap, but all the equpiment is still capped at lvl99. it's the only reason i'm not still playing it. >>319260743
both, i dont even have a ps4
>>319261237
I wouldn't have a problem with it if it weren't for that giant copyright line right under the graphic, and the fact that it looks like it's made out of Halloween costume fabric give the inside of the collar.
>>319262548
True. But a PC released Dragon's Crown would probably add new weapons and dungeons. If past Vanillaware ports are any indication.
I could see them notonly releasing Dragon's Crown to PC, but releasing an expansion a year later.
>>319262548
It's like paragon levels.
>>319262548
>but all the equpiment is still capped at lvl99
But that very same patch added a bunch of new equipment effects that make you much more powerful and can only be obtained from the new endless dungeon.
Some of it has a big impact on how you play, too. My Wizard ended up being able to instant-cast Meteor Storm with a 90% chance of refunding the spell tome each time. Plus you start getting enemies and bosses that are extremely buffed.
It was definitely enough of a change to keep me playing for a long time. Hell I still go back to it every now and then.
>>319257446
WHEN IS VANILLAWARE RELEASING THE SPACE PORNO
YOU KNOW WHICH ONE I'M TALKING ABOUT
I'VE BEEN WAITING FOR LIKE 3 YEARS
>Rannie at level 50
>Can pick the lock of a chest in not even a second but unlocking a door takes the same amount of time regardless of level.
>>319263712
If you're talking about their atlus mecha game, no set date.
>>319265084
Fairy is cute
>>319265523
Yes.
>>319257881
nice SJW art
