I'm getting a PS4 purely for Bloodborne and that feels like a bit of a waste considering I have a PC for most games.
What other PS4/console exclusives are worth getting? They can be PS3 games also released on PS4, e.g. Persona 5 is gonna be sick

Seriously son, PS4 is a total nogaems machine at the moment. I've been a consolefag since I wore diapers, and only got to PC gaming mid-00s (becoming idort), but so far all the small reasons I originally had for buying PS4 have been rendered pointless thanks to surprise Steam releases (MGS5, FFT-0...).
Meanwhile my good ol' PS3 has proven out to be a damn great purchase. It's definitely the defining MGS-platform, thanks to the MGS4 and the whole LEGACY Collection, and it has tons JRPGs. If you're into the Souls-games, it also has the very original one, Demon's Souls.
tl;dr: If I were you, I'd postpone the purchase of ANY consoles, unless you wanna get a cheap PS3.

Yeah I was very happy with PS3 by the end of its cycle, but I swapped to a proper PC this gen. I can only hope PS4 gets some games by the end of its life.

There's still some very few titles I'm cautiously looking forward to, namely FF15 and KH3, but that's barely enough for me to justify the purchase. Especially now that Square has started pouring its whole library on Steam too. My heart was broken with the cancellation of Silent Hills and the removal of the PT from PS4's store, further reducing my desire to get PS4.
It's also just fucking stupid how the PS4 lacks any kind of backwards compatibility, and how Sony's now trying to cash-in by "adding" one via rental STREAMING services. The promised PS2 bw-support also only means PSN Store purchases, and ONLY purchases done on PS4 (=your PS3 purchases are unplayable).
So yeah, this console generation has been quite disappointing so far. The already low specs of PS4/Xbone also once again mean that my 4yo PC still can run the modern games just fine, with decent settings as well.

This, got a Ps4 for Pirate Warriors 3 OP. And I don't regret it. Persona 5, FF15, KH3 and the like are just around the corner. There's literally no reason to not get playsation, every gen has had worthwhile playstation games.

Right now there's not that much. Aside from Bloodborne there's Omega Quintet (assuming super weeb Compile Heart JRPGs interest you) and a bunch of HD remasters, basically.Surprisingly I would also recommend Onechanbara Z2 Chaos, having impulse-bought it on sale after seeing a couple videos. For a low-budget fanservice game where all the previous games in the series were fucking garbage, it's actually a lot of fun. Visuals and camera are awful but combat has a surprising amount going for it.
Other than that just sit and wait for the deluge of awesome weebshit next year.

It takes very little effort to do an HD remaster, especially considering some companies half-ass them as much as possible, so they don't need to sell much to make a profit. They also pad out the libraries of current gen consoles that still don't have a massive number of games, and don't have proper backwards compatibility.
As for who buys them I couldn't say. Maybe people who really liked the game, or who didn't play it originally. I'm actually quite happy with the Nathan Drake Collection, but I definitely wouldn't have bought it if it didn't come with my PS4.
The only "HD remaster" I have any intention of buying is Odin Sphere Leifthrasir, and that's because it includes both an HD remaster of the original Odin Sphere and a new version with completely redone gameplay.
I bought a ps3 for demon souls and I MIGHT buy a ps4 for bloodborne when I snatch a good deal
