Koei is refusing to sell their game to their actual fanbase in the west just because an audience they aren't even fucking catering to might get upset about it. They aren't being forced to do this.
SJW's are not actually a threat to video games, they are powerless to do anything other than to write mean articles on the internet. No one even talked a bit about this game until they started making a big deal out of how they aren't gonna be releasing the game in America BECAUSE MUH SJW'S (will do what exactly? There are two options for what's happening here, one assumes they're being smart, another assumes they're idiots:

They're using this non-existent controversy to boost attention on their game, and considering the million threads about this on /v/, it's fucking working. 2) The developers are such huge cowards they refuse to sell their game on American ground, where half the sales come from, on account of bloggers that would have never bought the game anyways

Koei Tecmo is either retarded, building hype (delayed so they can fully monetize the Japanese release), or looking for an excuse not to release for other reasons (people say financial). They would have gotten some minor bad press and a mention on FremFreq shit, but no worse than they already did with DOA proper. US is their biggest market regardless. (Note the issue is what would have happened, not what happened, which both sides sometimes forget.)
Play-Asia probably didn't intend to turn this into a publicity stunt, but it sort of just evolved into that because they said a bad word and people felt like they have to fight this new evil. People automatically assume they are GG, when in reality, they've said nothing Joe Rogan or South Park or w/e wouldn't say. Everyone makes fun of college kids.
That trans pedophile who said she got doxxed is retarded or disingenuous.
