The Mutagen Wars, how the Basilisk Soldiers like Slim went into the bugman process and LOST said war. Hyde being a Chemtrooper specialized in cleaning them up. The Ajax ship that was lost and how Torvald lost half his body. The Hub and the bounty hunters. Cabot's tragic past. Maggie being the sole survivor of Factor and how she managed to escape in the Nordita ship. The Lovecraftian implications of the monsters not being from this dimension.

MGS has shit story even in the games.
MGS1 is the only REALLY decent one. MGS2 has an overall interesting plot filled with nonsense that sadly had to be carried over. Can't be adapted.
MGS3 is the cheese on my dick. Cheesy as fuck. It would make anyone outside vidya cringe. MGS4 and V were incredibly stupid.
Ironically, the only other title that COULD work and would be pretty good as an action flick is REVENGEANCE because, surprise, it's not written by Kojima's pijamas.

Fallout or The Elder Scrolls might make good movies. The tricky thing to decipher is if you'd just use the settings or try to use the plots of one of the games.

It's shot really well, short enough so that the first person camera gimmick never becomes too annoying, and has amazing action sequences. The plot is extremely silly but very entertaining especially with the final third. There's also lots of nice touches here and there, with a lot of attention to detail. If you're looking for an intelligent movie this isn't the one for you, but if you just want some dumb action it's definitely a good flick.
