So far, I've liked everything that they've done with KOF XIV and I really hope it succeeds. I remember thinking of KoF as the, "Poor Man's Street Fighter" before I got into the games and experienced them for myself and realizing that it has its own offerings and flavor that's pretty unique. I hope people who were like me find this game and get into the rest of the series as a result.
I just think this a solid game that's just a breath of fresh air for KoF, though I am worried about how critics might receive it, not having stellar graphics is a pretty much an instant turn-off for a lot of people.

As much of KOF lover as i am, I think this game could use another year. Even if its just to beef up its visuals. The only time raging storm has not been a pretzel was Rock and you should never fucking pay attention to what Rock had or how he was because Rock is literally shit in every game he's always been in Raging Storm or not. Geese is not Rock, KoFXIV is not Garou or NGBC or Maximum Impact, if what prerelease footage has shown us is any indication, Raging Storm will probably be pretty good because most things in XIV are pretty good with some exceptions.

The game literally rotates around the different gauges which really click with characters once you learn which one is best for who, it has a shitload of characters and decent balance, however the backgrounds are bland but the OST is really good in some parts

I was always more of a Last Blade fan, myself
SS6 felt like a streamlined SamSho to make it feel like standard fighting games. Low damage across the board, jumps were faster, throws are actually techable, etc. Grooves were tweaked to balance each other and so are not faithful to the original (specially IV-groove). VI-groove itself was made for non-SamSho fg players.
The presentation is crap as well.

Deadly Rave, depending on the game (or if it's Rock or Geese, or Terry in SVC) is relatively easy.
I still can't do consistent pretzels on Pad though. But like that other anon said no more Pretzels in XIV. I just hope that Raging Storm doesn't suck and still works as an amazing anti-air among other things.
