Just finished the game with both the bad and good ending + most of the epilogue conclusions, and it's 7 in the morning and I haven't slept a wink in too long.
There's a lot of great stuff going on with the game, make no mistake, but I'm much better at complaining about things when I'm tired, so I might as well use this post to concur with what this anon is saying a bit.
I didn't exactly expect the story to wind up focusing so much on, well, the main character, as silly as that sounds. Mostly because going into the game, I thought I would be spending most of the time learning about the lives of others, but Jill's storyline occupies the majority of the script you read compared to other characters. This might sound kind of dumb since Jill is a character too in this, but I dunno. I think it really could have had a lot more dialogue relating to other characters in the game besides Jill herself?
Also, what >>342347505 mentioned. People discuss how there's too many memes or whatever in the game and that topics been beaten to death already (and it's nowhere near as bad as what people are shitposting about) but I kinda wish the characters didn't talk about sex related subjects so much. WIth Dorothy I was mostly fine with it since, yeah, she's a sex worker, etc., and also she's pretty hilarious anyways since her dialogue's written well enough to convey the cheerful, earnest character she is. But off the top of my head I really thought it came up too often with characters like Alma and Streaming-chan (I think her, especially, was kind of a missed opportunity about other topics which could've been parodied), and even in the conclusion on the 31st and it really just grew stale eventually.
Reading back on my post I think I typed way too much about peeves with the game. I would say more about all the things I enjoyed while playing but I gotta get to bed.

I agree with you on expecting the focus to be more on other characters more, but I still feel like they did focus a lot on side characters. Like the sex-crazed guy who comes into a bar and says in a kind of off-hand comment that he's been paying a girl to be his daughter for 3 years and then Dorothy later reveals she's that girl and his actual daughter died 4 years ago which is why his attitude is shit. When you start NG+ Anna hints you at what to do to get the endings, but i'll write them out for you anyway:
Bad ending = fail to pay rent (seems like you can't get other endings if you get this one)
Good ending = pay rent

What it did was give you insight into family life that could give more character insight. It's the same vein as saying your brother was successful or your mother used to work as a stripper. That does, in fact, give insight into a character's personal story. Even if minimal.
