The Xbox and windows 10 integration is pretty cool. I'd like to see where it goes. But right now the windows store is such a fucking mess. They should have waited and made sure it actually functioned properly before they rolled it out.
The biggest news from Xbox though is the fact that new Xboxes will work under the same family of OSs, so that future Xboxes will be compatible with all previous Xboxes games. So a new Xbox will be mostly a hardware update to play current, past, and present games with modern era's technology. Makes it easier for devs to develop on new consoles as they have the same software architecture and it makes the new consoles look nice as they have previous generation's libraries of games to say belongs to their new console. Looks like Sony is also doing this with the PS neo. Hopefully they stick with this.

If it was just their games I wouldn't mind as much but DX12 being locked to Windows 10 is more of the issue I have. It's the same thing that happened with DX10 and 11 and it was a bad thing when it happened then too. The locking down the games and not having an exe only really affects their games too but I wonder if that'll spread to other games too. At some point DX12 is going to be the standard like DX11 is now so yeah, I don't like Microsoft having control of all the games that are going to use it (not even with it being on their store, but needing Windows 10 to play them at all), especially with where they're going with Windows 10.

I don't see this changing and Microsoft is just shooting themselves in the foot by trying to compete with Steam instead of working with them.
There aren't any good xbox games either way so it doesn't really matter. Also the ports will probably be really shitty where you can't customize graphic settings, fov, and can't really pinpoint certain mouse sensitivty to be similar to other fps games cuz it uses those stupid bars shit.
They will also probably cap it to 60fps so console babies don't cry and uncapping fps with an external program will increase input lag.

The new ports either perform well or they have some performance issues that get patched over time. I know Gears Ultimate edition has had some issues witht he sound messing up during really intense fights in campaign. Forza lagged a bit for me, but I think it was because I was streaming it on ultra for a friend. Should probably try it again.
Killer Instinct PC runs like a dream but has a screen-tearing problem. You have to force enable anti-alias through your GPU control panel to fix it.
So yeah, the ports have the generally good features, but they have performance problems. Seems like MS tries to fix them though, as I read on reviews before buying Gears UE.
