He's a good introductory boss for Kirby's intended audience. He's fine just the way he is.
-2 Whispy Woods
-spike balls, poison apples, and regular apples in the branches. Player has to be careful of what they suck
-Whispy is protected by vines which need to be cut before you can deal damage to Whispy
-animals will randomly pop out and attack to protect Whispy since Whispy is their home (Kirby can suck them and shoot them at Whispy)
-Whispy has a solar beam attack
-Whispy can project sharp roots from the ground
-Whispy can make metal leaves fall (Megaman 2 Woodman style)
-when Whispy is near death, the boss battle becomes a bullet hell duel where Kirby can only use ranged attacks to harm Whispy

I feel like Whispy should never be extreme. He's the greenhorn boss and even his alternate reality golem version was a wuss.

Whispy's fine, he's especially received great treatment recently, Flowery and Clanky are better than a lot of bosses throughout the series, even late game ones
