Traditional RTS is dead.
Audience got better alternatives, from squad/platoon leader games, to Grand Strategy. Total War is the closest you'll have to RTS
Base building/single dudes micro/worker controlling is a relic of the past and DoW III will suffer a lot from trying to be DoW

Maybe they've given up its market share to telltale, and may license their IPs to them to make some extra cash off of them. Stay tuned for the release of the soon-to-be iconic Watch Dogs Episodes.
