What scary stuff are you guys playing? I just jumped back into Doom 64. Forgot how much the atmosphere creeped me out as a kid.
After playing Amnesia for the first time awhile back and being more or less disappointed by it, I'm still trying to decide on a good horror game to play.
Was thinking of either going back and finishing Silent Hill 2, or maybe getting around to picking up Eternal Darkness.

nothing at the moment, but I can always highly recommend giving the original Silent Hill games, the ones by Team Silent, a shot, if you haven't played 'em yet. You can play SH1-4 on PC; here's a neat guide to get'em look and run well on modern systems, plus the DL links:

Mount the ISOs of 2 & 3, and then run their installers like always.
The SH1 is a PS1 rip that you gotta emulate.
The "sh2proxy" fix works as a no-cd crack as well, and is included in the pack.
In case you experience issues saving the game / not being able to edit the disp.ini, make sure the files aren't set to "Read Only", and run the game as Administrator.
If SH2 gets stuck in a black screen upon launch, close it and re-start it again.

here's the recommended emulator settings for SH1. Works great on all other games too.
The plugins used are:
-Pete's OpenGL 1.78; (more options & better performance than 2.x version)
-Eternal's SPU Engine.
alternatively just use a software renderer for very 1:1 PS1-like graphics, including 240p only.
...OR just buy the game from PSN Store for few bucks.

blood curse was the ps3 remake made by a japanese studio told to make the game as if it were made by westerners
its a very strange lump of horror but i wouldnt call it bad

the game is sort of episodic in nature so keep in mind its gonna have an alan wake feel between levels

it has those LAST TIME and NEXT TIME ON cutscenes
keep in mind in japan the episodes were released a week apart
