does it? It suffers severe slowdown every time the shield is activated, and during the final right turn in Gare d'Europa. It's also coded framerate dependent. So if your GPU goes beyond 30fps, you're fucked. The network patch is addressing the issue somewhat, but at that point you're running dedicated hardware, dedicated patches, lots of overhead. On a modern computer it's even worse, because you need a glide server. The alternative is firing up any ol' PS emulator and it works right away, on your primary computer

Well, the team's just a fifth of what the old Wipeout team was. That, and the ridiculously tiny budget without the support from other Sony studios is going to make it tough to create a true Wipeout successor.
