I was so meh'ed out by Bloodborne at release. I bought it on a whim and though It was just more Souls, and it kinda was. Then I played some more, beat Cleric Beast, and dropped it. Months later I played it more then got more into it, still not totally sold on the setting or characters and stuff. Then the Old Hunters got announced and was near releasing, so I booted up my old character I had been playing PvE with since launch, then I put in 150 hours with that character binge playing uncontrollably, then when Old Hunters came out I got another 100 hours and am still rising steadily. Everything clicked and Bloodborne is easily one of my favorite games of all time now.
I don't care about Witcher, I played the first 2 hours of both 1 and 2 and didn't like them. No bully.

I've played DeS, Das, DaS 2, BB, TW1, TW2 and TW3 + expansions through and I have to say. Neither is clearly better, both are very similar. And the combat doesn't really ever change in Souls games. The same tactics I used in DeS still work in BB. The only thing that changes are weapon animations and attack speed. But combat in Witcher 3 can be very fun and satisfying too.
The combat in Souls game is so fucking overrated it's not even funny. It's nothing special.

I liked Blood and Wine and Hearts of Stone, but I do agree that The Old Hunters is better.
The Witcher expansions are a great value though given the amount of content added. It's just unfortunate the combat is not very much fun. The final fight with Dettlaff could be awesome but it's The Witcher 3, so it's not.
