No, you don't understand. I kill them even when they do. But it's infuriating to throw down a red sign to get into a chosen pvp match and have the guy chug estus like a bitch. Thats not what a red sign match is for. All it means is that I either have to sit here for fucking 10 minutes beating some shit down over and over while he chugs through 15 estus (because estus is too fast to be punished anymore) or I have to hit him with the slow as fuck talismans and then attempt to chase him down as he spams rolls until it runs out. And thanks to the fact that rolls use basically no stamina this time, thats not an easy proposition. It's just so fucking boring to have to drag out every match this long.

I've stopped playing until the DLC comes out. 90% of invasions are ending with the host DCing as I kill them so I get cucked out of rewards. Not to mention blueberry invasions seem to still be broken and I refuse to grind .01% drop chance ears from silver knights. Tons of 4v1 ganks going on as well. its not a drake sword, there is no drake sword in DS3, or DS2. The drake sword was bad in DS because it had no scaling and was a shit weapon, even upgraded it did poor damage and thus was unsuitable for anything past maybe sens funhouse. Therefore equipping and using it was a liability later in the game because youd rely on its good damage early on and not get an actual weapon which scaled well with upgrading. Also the drake sword was obtained via a rather obtuse method which most people would not find obvious so using it was indicative of looking up a guide and not learning to play yourself. So it was a long term liability and indication of spoonfeeding.
The dark sword even without an infusion is an excellent longsword and serves well upgraded throughout the whole pve portion of the game because it does excellent damage combined with reasonable reach and low stamina consumption and fast swing time. Two handed weapons are usually trickier to use in DS3. Therefore using the dark sword does not make you a liability later as its a top tier weapon for pve. Finally it is not obtained via some bizarre non obvious method, you run into two dickwraiths on your way to fight the abyss walkers, they have the sword it is therefore very obvious if you kill them it might drop, hell you might luck out and get it on the first kill due to RNG.
Enough of this fucking Dark Sword = Drake Sword shit, you can call it a scrub weapon for scrubs and whatever but its not on the same level as the drake sword

Everyone basically had Ring of Fog, Dark Wood Grain Ring, and/or Hornet's ring by default in DkS1. Thrusting weapons were almost literally unusable due to inability to lock as was most magic.
