Why the hell are mobile and web browser games so popular in Japan? They're all skinner boxes with shallow gameplay, why do people play them? And why are there so damn many of them?
Guess which platform is the most prevalent. These games can be played on your way to work/school/whatever as they don't require you to commit a lot of time, and can be stopped at any time. Basically a time killer.
Hey /v/, some good 90's fps on STEAM?
Your moment of truth is here /v/.
>everyone shits on type-0
>pick it up because i'm moving house and want an RPG to play while i have no reliable internet
>it's actually a fun as fuck FFVIII-2 with action RPG combat
Seems to be the case.
I'm only playing through chapter 2 at the moment and my only complaint is that the game looks like ass.
Which i kinda expected for a PSP port
Same as OOT in the zelda cycle
I can't stop watching the trailer, /v/.
I think...I think i'm getting hyped. What do I do?
I've been super hyped for over two years now... It's far beyond super hype. It's what you could call Super Hype 2.
And this.... i..s..... to.... go even further.... BEYOND!
What are some JRPGs with dark/realistic atmosphere? Pic related is all I can think of.
Why did everyone misunderstood her vision? Were they autistic? Or was she autistic?
You KNOW who she is, right?
Well that was totally unexpected!
Lets get a Halo 5 thread
Thoughts on the new update? The Warzone Firefight update is good and gives us a challenge.
For a game with a lackluster launch but a solid core they really turned it into a solid 10/10 multiplayer.
Firefight is amazing and the best in the series yet depending on taste.
Its good but fuck that boring horseshit when you get "4 Phaetons and 1 Knight located on the other side of the planet, in a closet, behind 99 gruntlings."
Chipping away at the fucking Phaetons with kinetic rifles sucks balls and takes 5ever. Last thing I want to play when I play Halo is god damn Destiny.
>Detroit: Become Human is unique and nothing like Blade Runner for example
>In Blade Runner the androids were the bad guys but in Detroit the androids are the good guys
Is he mentally retarded ?
Just bought this for PS4 (God Eater 1 comes bundled for free with God Eater 2, which comes out next month).
Really nice art direction, atmosphere, backstory and even good English voice acting.
My only question is, will there be more weapon types in the sequel?
3 swords, a lance, and a scythe doesn't seem like much.
Hammer isn't in the game I'm playing (God Eater Resurrection). That or I haven't unlocked it yet.
My only complaint so far is the sound design -- it's horrible. Other than that, really cool game.
Why is God Eater Resurrection $20 /free bundled with the $50 God Eater 2 then, if God Eater Resurrection is the newer one? So confusing.
Before 2008 I was a PC gamer exclusively. I grew up on CnC, Homeworld, Half Life, Quake, Thief, Baldurs Gate. etc. I didnt enjoy those games at all, in fact they were depressing. They were gritty and this is what I associate PC gaming with to this day. This was further emphasized by the fact that there was an annoying learning curve on PC (maintenance, upgrades, what sites to avoid).
But when I got a console, an Xbox, all that changed. I was introduced to color and energy. A stable platform with titles that inspired, not depressed. Where games were fun and intuitive without the strife of PC games back in the day.
When the bar was 'lowered' in this way, I started appreciating seeing what was important in games, I became interested in the industry and games. As for the rest it was obvious that PS and NIntendo were copying each other. Xbox on the other hand tried a different and more direct approach to games.
a shooter with an interesting story and art style unlike anything on PC, still unmatched
an rpg with tons of color and personality unlike anything on PC, still unmatched
while still managing to depress with its gray colors, it too had a cool story and set pieces. PC games had no set pieces. Only HL had them but only for the first minutes and not as interesting as a giant worm. These 'set pieces' were a novelty 10 years ago and are now an industry standard.
a racing game that actually cared about cars
>Saints Row 1
a much better GTA than any of the GTA games
the concept of indie games was pretty cool or sad seeing as games are expensive but nevertheless made devs use their talent rather than technology to game making. It was a paradigm shift and I tnink it was for the best. Its not that PC had no original titles pre 2005, but they were not as creative as MS's indie division and ripples it has today.
>inb4 Xbox has no more exclusives.
So what? MS owns PC and I'm never going back to it anyway because of reasons listed.
Stand up... there you go. You were dreaming. Buy my game?
Someone post the bait webms of trash characters or modified stats with the console already so we can get 300+ replies
