Have you ever payed a subscription for a MMORPG?
If not, why? What do you think about paying 11-15$ every month to play?
It's not about the money. I think of MMOs what I think of forums, you can only do good if you invest a lot of time or some money. I don't find that fun and never will. I have never played one.
time for a real shin megumi tensay thread

Is there a game that truly conveys the vastness of deep space?
So I was digging around the net and I happened to come across some Dreamcast magazine scans from 1999. This is the very first issue from the Official Dreamcast Magazine (this is the UK edition; it also had a US edition) released Sept. 23, 1999, only 2 weeks after the North America launch on 9/9/99.
Also mods, vidya magazines ARE vidya; if anything, they're more vidya than the daily shitflinging system warring threads.
AND HERE WE GOO!
I've always loved the idea behind the dreamcast.
It's games had a specific feel to them, they were very ambitious for their time.
It's unfortunate it died so horribly.
I wonder if people in the future will say the same about the WiiU?
A system that is selling like shit but had an interesting if limited library?
dreamcast was far from limited though, it had some of if not THE most accurate fighting game ports, to the point where third strike and MvC are still played on the dreamcast if a cabinet isn't available in tournaments.
It also had a pretty fuckin huge lineup of blockbuster games.
the only reason it died was because sega totally forgot antipiracy measures and you could just straight up burn CDs on like 80% of dreamcasts in circulation in NA.
Was looking at getting Project Diva for my PSP. But i am a bit confused as to what version to get?

Long story short, mate is in Japan, took some pics and vids from the local thrift shop, some of the game finds are hella good (like the Xenosaga plushie guy game), rest is kinda shit, but it's a buck a pop, all complete with manuals etc.
What else is good to get from Japan?
What do you reckon I should cop and tell him to get me?
>game with pantsu 700yen
>all other games 100yen,
>to make things worse pantsu game is simple2000 which is an el cheapo thing
Will he return for the next game?
So, up to Yukikos castle. Not too bad, rough in parts, had to use pretty much everything I had on the subboss.
Finally make it to the top and Shadow Yukiko just wiped me out. Had to give up and come back the next day. Did better but couldn't quite beat her, that fire AoE being cast twice in a row just wrecked me.
So the game is very clear that I don't need to rush things and that I shouldn't be only fighting, so that's fine, but obviously I do need to do some grinding to beat her. Don't think I can do it at lv13.
So I was expecting...

Assuming this is vanilla and your first time playing purse owner than don't worry, she's surprisingly difficult for a first time run.
Basically you want to be blocking with Chie when you think she's going to cast her fire attacks to stop her getting 2 turns.
Unless you picked up a skill called red wall which you can cast to cover her weakness.
Rely on strategy. Grinding isn't a necessity. P4 uses the Once More system which is like the press turns in Nocturne.
Fuse a persona which has Red Wall (increases fire resistance). Cover your weaknesses, that is a key element in Megaten games. Persona 4 does not have the exhaustion stat of 3, so you can go nuts on persona hunting from battles. Also keep plenty of healing items for each ailment (10-20 at minimum)
Bowser's Inside Story was the franchise's peak.
Bowser's Inside Story > Superstar Saga > Dream Team > Partners in Time
They are all amazing, though. What a series.
Do people even play video games for the story anymore?

Are you fucking kidding me? This isn't even funny in the slightest. It looks like something that would have been on websites like Albinoblacksheep over 8 years ago.
What games have the biggest plot holes?
