Your GOTY so far
Why did nobody tell me this shit was finally coming out in the West, and in a month no less?
Does nobody care about EDF anymore?
>and in a month no less?
When did that happen? I thought it was currently suffering from the traditional Xseed Schedule Slip, since they seem to be pretty focused on Tits 2 at the moment.
Literally the only game on the PS4 that interests me. Do the new giant mechs have the same controls as the robots from RAD? If they do then I might have to start saving up.
>in order to fight monsters
>i had to become one
Why is she so
What are y'alls opinions on Alien Isolation?
I've been playing it recently after playing the original Siren. I loved that game, and was interested to see modern video game's attempt at stealth horror. So far, I think it's an alright game. Pleasantly challenging, not any easier than Siren when played on hard. I'm a little disappointed in the environments though, considering that's where I heard this game really shines.
the environments get better as you go deeper into the station, its a does a really nice job at tension at first. its a nice game but after you get a certain item its not really dangerous anymore (even then the overall mechanic of the alien becomes repetitive) and it drags on for about 3 hours longer than it should have. still a good game though.
My GOTY of 2014. But I'm an Alien fan, so I'm biased. The parallels Amanda's story had with Ripley's story from Alien to Aliens still makes me cum buckets.
I hope you're playing on hard mode. And I really don't understand how youre disappointed by the 70s sci fi aesthetic.
Yeah, hard's the only proper way to play a stealth horror.
I actually only just watched the first movie the night before I started the game. It was an incredible movie, only of the best I've ever seen. And the scifi aesthetic in in that was *so* spot on, jumping right into Isolation after being blow away with something like that leads to some initial disappointment. Still, I find that I'm more and more pleased with the game the more time I spend with it. I only a short ways in.
Should I buy a PS4, /v/?
What was the first videogame you ever bought with money you'd earned yourself?
sega dreamcast + a fuckton of games that i wasn't even expecting because sega was already going under. shit was cash
phantasy star, sonic adventure & shuffle, crazy taxi, sports game, jet set, fur fighters
>final boss is equal to you in every way
>reload before the magazine is empty
>full mag +1 in the chamber
>voice actress opinions
Heaven's Feel has been the best route so far, I must say.
What do you guys think of Hotline Miami 1 and 2? should a third be made?
Both were fun, and they have fantastic music. the level design in 2 was bullshit though. I wouldn't mind another game in the series, but I'd rather have a good level editor system, kind of like how Mario Maker handles it.
You know what?
Seeing all this Indivisible shit has got me wanting to make a thread about Doko Roko. So here I am.
With a goal of 30k and sitting at 26k I'm curious as to what /v/ has to say about this game.
Seems like a cut above regular as pixel games and hot damn is that music in that video briddy gud.
What's also pretty neat is that there's no "we'll put your own creation in the game" kind of reward.
First overfunding perk also goes to music.
So what kind of shitposts, shillingposts, and debatable opinions does /v/ have?
"If Dark Souls has taught me anything, it's that games do not have to beat you over the head with their fiction to be interesting. A well-crafted world is far more enticing to me than having to sit through a long-winded monologue. My hope is that you'll absorb the story at your own pace through brain-osmosis rather than me having to inject it with huge clumsy hands."
Creator talking about the story.
I also remember him saying that Doko Roko will be explained why it's called Doko Roko to begin with.
Aaand here is some music for the game if you're one of those folks who enjoy music in video games.
I'm not entirely sure if it is music for the game but it's by the same guy who did the trailer music and the title of the song fits too.
The creator himself seems like a pretty neat bro if you read a bit of the kick starter about why he chose kickstarter and what not.
