Why do Japanese devs seem to love 1980s America so much?

Who the fuck doesn't!
>HP bar is blue and MP is red
I never read much past Episode 4. I saw a lot of the discussions about 5-8 and bitching over mystery and anti-mystery and after a little bit of Episode 5 I kinda lost interest. I might go back and try again some time.
Kohaku will always be the best hidden maid villain, fuck Yasu or whatever she's called.
>blue resource bar that is called something other than mana or MP
You're making a video game.
What do you write first, and prioritise your ideas towards?
The script, the plot, the gameplay or the characters?
What's /v/'s opinion on Indivisible reaching it's funding goal? I for one am pretty glad because the prototype was damn fun, especially after attempting to complete the two secrets.
I think the crossover characters look way better than the original cast.
I hope they aren't far in the game because I want to replace those losers with Shantae, Shovel Knight, and Zubazz as soon as possible.
This was honestly the very first crowd funder I actually pledged for myself. After their last Indiegogo campaign I fully trust Lab Zero to deliver a great game.
ITT: We draw Yukiko.
>60$ for gamecube game + toy
why is this allowed?
>$60 for a video game
>comes with a free figure

I'm extremely bored and want to buy a new game on Steam. It needs to be relatively cheap (aka, $10 or less), would prefer a good replay value, and is not an RPG or management game. Pic unrelated
what does /v/ think of Tim Schafer
How did everything go SO wrong?
I finally picked this up during PlayStation's Black Friday sale or whatever, and having now finished it, I have to wonder how this was even made by the same people who made Hotline Miami. What a fucking mess.
>I have to wonder how this was even made by the same people who made Hotline Miami. What a fucking mess.
Come on dude, it's like a shameless fucking rehash of the first game but with faster movement speed. Get real.
>implying it's any different from the first one
Only redeemable qualities are the art style and music, gameplay is mostly shit and the biggest problem is that it makes retards feel smart
Mgs1 or Twin snakes which is better?
>Fast forward to E3 2016
>Reggie's time to speak
>"Before we take a look at Nintendo's future.. We gotta look at the past"
>Stage goes dark, video starts playing
>NES appears on the screen
>Short video on the best games on it
>Same thing as NES

What game are you stuck on at the moment /v/?
>Game has ancient civilization(s) that "mysteriously" disappeared thousands of years ago
>They had robots/advanced technology
>Present time doesn't have any of that shit
This is common in movies, books and TV shows as well as real life (many people believe that ancient people in Atlantis, Egypt, or South America had advanced knowledge that we do not possess today).
People like the idea of something being hidden for ages and then uncovered.
>Technology never gets lost
>Society never goes backwards
What an idealistic fuckhead.
