So, what are you playing in your x-mas vacation?
Has anyone here tried the modern VR? If so, how is it? (No Virtual Boy memes pls)
It is incredibly immersive.
The way I feel right now is that if they can manage to produce even a handful of objectively decent games for the various headsets, and enough people try them, word of mouth alone will propel their acceptance.
Its something else when your brain is tricked into thinking it is inside a new environment.
It's amazing. I mean it's literally like playing with another dimension.
There are some games (horror games) which suck ass on a 2d monitor and you basically have to scare yourself but trust me in VR when you turn around and something is literally staring at you like 3 inches from your face it's a whole nother experience. Anyone on this site that memes against it has never tried it
Why did pressure sensitive buttons die? Sure, not every game used them, but the ones that did usually did it well
Well let the leak's begin.

Alright, so I've been PvPing for the last 2-3 hours. Not a single win. I'm getting my ass kicked.
I literally have no idea how people are getting backstabs on me, or why I'm not getting backstabs on them. I mean I'm not focusing on backstabbing them but I'm trying when I get a window.
I parry, riposte and backstab everything that you can do any of these things to perfectly in PvE.
Why is it so hard in PvP?
>inb4 casul, git gud
I'm looking for serious tips here.
Here's a secret, dude.
Dark Souls PVP fucking sucks. So does PVP in any of the Souls game.
The games are fun to play PVE. And I guess there's some fun in getting invaded by an asshole and having to fend for yourself.
But don't go actively looking for it.
In Dark Souls mostly the hardcore players that know the game from day one are still active.
Japanese players in general backstab fish you to death.
Unless you have some serious skill, you better have a perfectly planned build.
If you want to get some cheap kills, you could always cast tranquil walk of peace and reverse wrath of god your victims.
Also learn to toggle escape, dead angle if you like to use heavy weapon and also learn the cheap backstab tricks.
No fun involved either way.
S'up /v/irgins, got a friend looking to play some JSFR on an xbox original emulator, any of you cunts know which one is the best and how well it runs? Cheers guys
Here's a challenge, /v/.
How many non-retarded, non-faggot (literally and figuratively), non-pathetic and non-silent MALE MAIN PROTAGONISTS of JRPG's can you name?
Name one per post. Don't make a gigantic list because no one reads those. Try to give a good argument. Don't name ones that have been named.
None of you will be able to actually name a single one and you'll have to lie through your teeth
Listen to this shit.
>the FF5 intro
>the mad beats
>the alien vibes
>Sephiroth's theme on it
It's fucking amazing, one of the best FF battle themes of all time in my opinion. And you know what's funny? I NEVER heard this song after all these years until I finally played this game a couple of weeks ago. You know why? Because it plays right before fucking ONE WINGED ANGEL, of course...

you should listen to that band that plays J-E-N-O-V-A on Youtube. Forgetting their name, it's like Tetronomo or some shit. When they play JENOVA they incorporate this song as well and it's bretty gud. They also do a good Bravely Default thing
Yeah, it's definitely a very underrated song for the reasons you mentioned, though OWA really is better/more memorable. It doesn't help that Bizzaro Sephiroth is really, really easy to beat even when underleveled so you likely won't be hearing the song for long.
>"with our new installment, we're going BACK to the roots"
>Game then proceeds to fuck it all up and improve nothing outside of graphics
>they go back to roots
>turns out nobody really wants to go back
Who is the most intelligent person in the industry?
So we don't ACTUALLY know where the next Elder Scrolls game will take place, or when it will even come out. Skyrim was released in 2011, over four years ago.
Where would you personally like to see the next game take place? Or maybe you'd want to revisit an old continent all dressed up for the modern era? Skyrim II? A second game taking place in Morrowind?
There's talk of it taking place in Argonia
What have you /v/?
hay guys, i'd really like to play unreal tournament 2004 again.
i used to play the multi-player demo allot back in the day.

Get the new one. It's free.
John Romero just shared a video of the PC version of Mario 3. iD software made it in 1990 and presented it to Nintendo (who rejected it). They went on to make Commander Keen instead.
Post likely Smash DLC characters
>Nintendo hasn't acknowledged Crystal in 10 years
>Star Fox Zero will not feature her
>cringeworthy british accent

Defend this game
Soundtrack was nice.
Kingdom Valley looked cool as hell and would have made an awesome stage in pretty much any other game.
Mechanical designs were nice, even if not very sonic-ish.
That's all I got.
