What was the first PC game you bought with your own money?
Does it hold up to this day?
What exactly makes a game immersive?
Have any recent games felt truly immersive to you?
Does it get harder for anyone else to feel immersed in a game as you get older?
>What exactly makes a game immersive?
things must make sense within the game worlds established scope
>Have any recent games felt truly immersive to you?
witcher 3 was pretty great at this
>Does it get harder for anyone else to feel immersed in a game as you get older?
the older you get, the more experienced you get and the more easily you notice inconsistencies, flawed logic, plot holes and the like. it's normal.
Why would a robot ever want to become human?
I am going to describe each Final Fantasy in three words.
>FF1: Good barebones foundation
>FF2: Ambitious but flawed
>FF3: Kind of bad
>FF4: An instant classic
>FF5: A superior FF3
>FF6: All-around perfect
>FF7: Silly and wonderful
>FF8: Inane but fun
>FF9: Bland, forgettable throwback
>FF10: A good game
>FF12: Tedious and pretentious
>FF13: Flaming horse shit
I just found out that Cave Story got a full-on remake for the 3DS.
How's it? Is it twin snakes tier or REmake tier?
I own it and now it's super rare. The game is the best of both worlds, as you can switch from 3D to Classic. The 3D looks great and there are some neat features such as playing as a Prinny and a remixed OST. I believe there's an alt ending, but haven't gotten there. It's Cave Story, what more do you want?

/v/ I've come across a problem I can't seem to fix.
whenever I play a game, as long as I start playing once my PC boots up, I'll get about 30-40 min of 60FPS with no stutters, but after a while my FPS will randomly drop to 1 and sometimes sub 1, or even just freeze up for half a second and go right back to 60FPS, its actually made a few games unplayable. It also only seems to happen when a sort of grinding/chugging sound happens inside the computer. Funny thing is, this only recently started happening once i had to swap the ram out, i used to have 16gigs but...

Maybe a memory leak causing an offload to the CPU which overheats, causing the fan to accelerate and grind.
When did the Call of Duty series peak?
>Go into ancient crypt
>The candles are still fresh milk
I came home yesterday and found that my girlfriend had given my WiiU to the local Christmas Charity drive. She stated that "there are kids who won't get anything else for Christmas that need it more than you".
Bitch didn't even think to give them the games though. Merry fucking Christmas.
Wouldn't tengus make a great video game enemy?
>How you want your roster pham?
How do we stop this scum, /v/?
Do you think killing him will be enough?
>lunch break during work
>start playing my vita since I pack my own lunch and have time to spare
>co-worker starts laughing
>leaving for the day
>another colleague taps me on the shoulder
>"So anon, I heard you were playing video games at work. My kid plays video games too!"
>what the fuck is going on
>go home and check www.reddit.com/r/askreddit
>apparently playing video games is unacceptable as an adult
Have you ever gotten a vidya related present that you regretted?
I think I only got to the lava level and I'm like lavaboarding on a rock or something.
