Hi /v/. I'm looking for a new PC game to play since this year's crop is relatively disappointing. Post /v/ approved PC games ITT
Looking back on it, this was probably the best game of 2014.
Fuck it, there are pretty much no good threads on /v/ tonight. So pitch your video game ideas. I want to hear them, /v/.
Objectively, what was the best Gamecube game?
I'm currently going to play Majora's Mask on the collector's edition because i've never played it and then i'm moving on to Metroid Prime. Recommend any titles?
Resident Evil Remake
Resident Evil Zero
Resident Evil 4
Smash Bros Melee
I would say Prime because the fact that it was so good caught everyone by surprise.
People were pretty skeptical that you could take a slowly-expanding, exploration-heavy, side-scrolling shooter and make it a 3D FPS while still keeping the progression and exploration elements in place.
How do I get good with him?
You stop playing a children's game with a competitive mindset. All Smash games are meant to be something you partake in during a party or when your kid wants to do something with you that isn't as mind numbing as going to the park.
Play an actual fighting game, Smash players.
Will the new Star Wars lead to a rise in space opera video games?
I think sci-fi RPGs as a whole is making a comeback after the deluge of fantasy shit we've had to endure.
The future looks neon bright.
So, thoughts on Bayonetta in Smash?
ITT: It wasn't that bad
what's the most difficult thing ever in a videogame?
be it boss or challenge or whatever
games that require a lot of mastery like ninja gaiden or devil may cry
games like dark souls are just a "challenge", if you assume learning patterns and telegraphed attacks is a challenge. kinda like how raiding in MMO's is a challenge
What did he mean by this?
>game starts off with a darkness setting
Does anyone actually adjust the lighting when given the option too? I always leave it at the default
Default for any game with the exception of TES in which case brightness all of the way up. Using Night Eye or light spells annoy me and if it helps to defend myself I play as a Khajiit most of the time anyway. It is just too easy to miss loot in a dark room.
Not exactly related, but I liked Mario Sunshine's use of brightness. The plot of the game is that the sunshines have been stolen, so the island is extremely dark. As you collect them, the game becomes brighter and brighter. At a certain point you can even get sunglasses which will reduce the brightness of the game.
Games with literal 10/10 atmosphere.
Most atmospheric shooter around aside from Gradius V.
just 7 hours left
Yesterday in a team of two we managed to beat cyborg planet 7.
Considering each next level adds a new enemy, and there are about 5 more ahead, and level 7 added those tanks, I shudder to think what awaits us next.
Also: you can play multiplayer with pirated version - just make you're using a smurf steam account, just to be safe.
Let's trigger /v/
