So i was playing RE Revelations 2 because it was free on psn
And i was wordering whats /v/'s opinion?
Too bad Claire looks ugly i guess she aged like milk, which makes me wonder you guys think theyre gonna bring a new cast for the newer RE games because every single character we know its freaking old,Just take a look at Barry
Oh My COD
disliked REV1, enjoyed REV2
the character switching goes smoothly and the weaker character archetype still feels like an important element to the overal gameplay
capcom also decided to inject some atmosphere in this one, which was sorely lacking in all the mainline games since 4 or so
At least they haven't ruined their prettiest girl yet.
What is the Best Game Headset?
>tfw presented with a choice
>Option A, the logical choice everyone in their right mind would pick
>Option B, the downright retarded choice nobody would be inclined to pick
>Choose option B because you realise it's a video game and something special or interesting might happen
>Immersion: Fucking destroyed
Similar situation with Witcher 3. There were several quests where I felt Geralt would say this isn't my problem, I'm not going to get involved, but I accepted every single one because I didn't want to miss out on content.
>save before making choices
>reload after each choice to see all possible outcomes
>reload again to choose choice with preferred outcome
Don't worry guys, Yamcha's here to replace the
antagonistof the last game you played. How fucked is he?
>Rome: Total War
I suppose that makes him Phyrrus of Epirus or Hannibal.
Considering his abilities compared to those of a normal man he might be okay. A couple of thousand guys with swords and javelins might not be able to take him down considering he can fly and shoot lasers.
ITT: god tier trailers
That DS3 and Bloodborne trailer is on the same league as the DS2 trailer, why didn't you include that one?
That Bartholomew though is on a completely different level as the other 3.
SFV in SteamOS
How did that happen?
They put it on SteamOS.
Seriously though, how's that whole project coming along? Have they started to shave away the API overhead yet? That would be the only to reason to ever use it. If they manage to succeed, that would be revolutionary for gaming.
Name a more entertainning weapon /v/
Guys, give me a good name for my Shovel Knight amiibo.
>emulating handheld games
>on a desktop computer
How much of a loser do you have be to actually do something like that?
So did the devs bail or what? Is this shit ever happening? I thought it looked interesting years ago but it looks like the same game now even though they've apparently been working on it all along.
How long have they been holding people on a Peter Molyneux-tier promise of reactive AI now?
Are they completely fucked?
Surely somebody's still paying attention and holding them responsible even though they probably want nothing more than for people to forget the project so they can walk away. Are they legally obliged to finish?
>Are they legally obliged to finish?
Scanlines, good or bad? I remember HD CRTs using scanlines to hide artifacts lines aliasing and low resolution textures to some degree.
Basically I'm trying to codify simple rules to outline whether or not you're a goddam casual.
If you have a suggestion, post the game and what number rule you're referring to, e.g. Ocarina of Time - 3.
Obviously, the zeroth rule is "People who worry if they are/aren't hardcore are posers."
The idea isn't too establish elitism, more to identify if a person can justifiably call games their hobby or pastime and to introduce people to good fucking games a la the Patrician-core list image.

Comment too long. Click here to view the full text.
It's all relative and means fuck all. Here, if you like a game someone doesn't like, you're a casual. If you don't like a game someone does like, you're a casual. There is no such thing as hardcore.
How do I grow to like (and possibly love) The Witcher games? I tried the first one, and it was just awful. But that one, is one that even fans of the series would attest is rather weak.
Would it be alright to start at a later installment?
Possibly even TW3?
nah, you're fucked. If you didn't like the first game, you won't like the others.
They're very story driven games and you actually have to like Geralt as a character to enjoy them and have a vested interest in them.
It isn't like playing an Elder Scrolls or Fallout game where your main character is mostly a blank slate for you to self-insert yourself with.
>Cata dungeons were hard
Will this meme ever die?
They were actually somewhat challenging on heroic mode when everyone was in trash leveling gear. Requiring players to do passable dps and follow boss mechanics is something that a lot of players had never experienced.
And then the dungeons were nerfed and free gear was handed out like candy so people could go back to hitting their AOE button and standing in fire.
they were hard for your average mr LFD farmer mc bumblefuck that didn''t know the bare basics of crowd control, that said, heroic dungeons were still fun to run with guildmates
