Hello 4chan. In what era would you like the next big FPS game to be in? Please answer via this poll and feel free to discuss: http://strawpoll.me/6364779
Is there anything I can buy with this?
>PC master race has superior taste in games
>only plays dota and cs for 5000 hours
>PC master race is much more skilled in games
>has trouble with meme souls, MGRR, makes savescum mods
>PC master race has a better community!
>full of redditors, russians, clingy homos, memelords, valvedrones etc,
Ok so I got a PSvita (hurr hurr dead system no games aside) and I want to get a final fantasy game on it.
I've narrowed it down to two that I'm mainly looking at right now, FFVII and FF X/X-2 HD
I have never played the games before and therefore have 0 nostalgia and I'm trying to figure out which is the better buy.
That or would a different one be better?
I've been looking at FFVII because of all the hype around it and I'm planning on getting the HD remake when it comes out and I thought it'd be cool to play the original first.
7 is good. It's a classic and worth the title in my opinion. X is also good, but I don't know how good of a mobile game it is. I don't know how it runs, and it feels like you need to play it a few times to get the most of it. X has a better battle system to me, and you have a better idea of what you're supposed to be doing than 7, but it's a lot more linear as a result.
That said, 7 is like 10 bucks and X/X2 is like 30 right?
They are both great entry points, but X may test your cringe resistance.
Price wise they're pretty similar since you get two games with X, right?
And I've seen some cringe scenes in it but if its a good game and I'm playing it by myself I don't really mind.
What I really dont want to happen is to get stuck or bored at some point where I stop playing and dont pick up another one.
Having not really played them before I'm not sure if the more linear aspect would be a horrible thing to start with.
And I assume the game would run fine. The vita is pretty impressive overall for a handheld.
It's hard for me to say, does one setting interest you more than the other? How experienced are you with JRPGs? It's a weird thing to compare them since they're are very different.
X has a pretty complex character building set from what I remember, and 7 has a great skill system in the materia that allows loose party building. I remember liking 7 more, but I played X a while ago. I think 7 might be better just to have the experience with it, X isn't nearly as important to the genre in my opinion.
As we approach a new vidya century filled with hope, I ask you anons what your hopes are for the coming year. Whether it be E3, TGS, Gamescom, or whatever your choosing, what do you hope to see come from them? As we go into the new year what is your most anticipated vidya? Will this finally be the year of a glorious, successful, VR
at the price point of $599? I am clinging to hope in possibility that the next E3 expo will be videogames.
I will post this everyday until E3
I will cling to the possibility that a new metroid game will be announced
I will post this every day until Persona 5s delay becomes a ruse I will cling to the possibility it comes out before summer 2016.
I will post this everyday until E3. I will cling to the possibility that iDOLM@STER will be localized.
I want Isaac: Afterbirth so bad I drew this on muh peecee
Since we're getting a FF7 remake does that mean we'll eventually also get a Xenogears remake? With a full second disc.
Top kek, no. Square doesn't care about that, all they care about is that sweet FF7 do$h
Yo does anyone know any good space sims for PC that aren't to hardware intensive? My peasant laptop can't run Elite so that's out the window.
Is it safe to log into steam?
How do I git gud? I can't get the hang of this well enough to get to the bonfire in the Undead Parish. Hell I'm having trouble getting across the bridge before the Hellkite Dragon burns me alive. Pls help.
Nuclear Throne thread
I've been playing this for the past couple days and it's so fucking good. Great balance and variety of characters/weapons, fairly difficult, and pretty cheap.
What do you guys think?
Pretty fun. Spending lots of time on it.
>ima gun god
It's cool but I feel like some parts are just way too random and kill you out of nowhere. It also seems like whenever I grab the haste crown and then get back to the level it puts me right in the middle of like 3 snipers and those fire dogs. Kinda lame
What went wrong?
>You are the chosen one.
