Did Ubisoft fire all the smart devs from the AC teams? i mean, it's almost like even the writers themselves forgot what the pieces of eden were to begin with.
From AC to AC3 the pieces of eden are described as artifacts that manipulate certain parts of the human brain to cause illusions and be controlled by the user of the fruit, but in Unity and Syndicate they are power sources that shoot laser beams and explode.
Can someone explain this bullshit?

People who buy the same game every year are dumb and so the macguffins in the yearly games have to be violent and destructive or they won't understand why they're dangerous.
Maybe thats just the illusion they saw ?

Damn, Assassin's creed 2 was a great game, I 100% that game. Shame to see what happened, series should have been killed years ago
I challenge /v/ to name 10 modern business decisions from this company that you agree with/thought were a good choice.

Free online
Free DLC (for some games)
Miiverse is fun but a little overbearing
That's all I can think of.
Free online
Free DLC
Contract more third parties to make exclusives
Start using their IPs outside of their consoles and handhelds (Nintendo Amusement Park, TekkenPokemon)
Remaster older classics, I dunno about you, but I particularly love remasters as long as they're JUST Remasters and not Remakes. Except in the case of REmake, that was actually good.
But I challenge you to find any company that has 10 publicly agreeable business decisions. That's a lot. I can't think of ANY company that has more than 5 decisions I didn't hate. And finding...

How is Rise of the Tomb Raider? I enjoyed the TR reboot so I thought about buying this when it comes out of PC later this month.
>Another year of weekly Tomb Raider franchise 75% off on Steam while they slowly drop the full price of RotTR
I'm OK with this.

I think he's making fun of the fact that anyone with 3 brain cells and a pizza pie figured out the swithceroo
With the reveal of Chapter 3, and possibly four and five, and considering the placement of the reveal, it's obvious this was supposed to be revealed midgame and the rest of the game is the player and the characters grappling with this reveal
Instead it's poorly shoehorned in way to obvious shit people figured out two years ago
Why is it that combo-focused HnS/stylish action games always have you grind to unlock moves? Whether its DMC, Bayonetta, Wonderful 101, Dragon's Dogma, Killer is Dead, or God Hand, there's always moves that you have to unlock by grinding some form of currency or experience. Shouldn't these games be treated more like a sandbox that just throw you in and say "eh, here's the entire move list. go fucking nuts, kid." as opposed to going through unnecessary tedium to finally obtain a moveset you can work with?
Would DMC/Bayo/etc style combat be fun in an MMO?
>>323348393
i think it's because those are single player focused games and beyond move unlocking, there's not much else you can give to a player to unlock a sense of progression or becoming slowly "stronger".
i mean sure there's earning health and special bar increases, but those really don't carry it by themselves.
I'm not sure how credible 4chan thinks the Extra Credits series is, but I believe one of their episodes touched upon an explanation to this problem in trying to explain a different problem. Bottom line: having the "here's the entire move list, have fun" approach might overwhelm a player who hasn't gotten used to the basics; as a result, trickling content down to the player as an experience bar fills or a shop stocks new moves and such allows players to get used to a few good moves before introducing steadily greater and greater moves.
Granted,...

Why is this allowed?
Wow has always had pop culture meme shit.
Its like you fags didnt even play vanilla
Tell me about Acherus, why does he wears the mask?
There was an entire zone dedicated to cultural references in vanilla.
Nothing new in this thread except for the underaged WoW players.
When someone had the idea of a video being interactive, I picture something like Dragon's Lair. It is pure cinematic. I think what designers origionally intended was to make digitized films that could be playable. The idea was to tell the plot like a film, but give you options to change the outcome of the story. They were not origionally supposed to be so varried in terms of playstyle. That's why 3DO had so many FMV games. Now FMV's are almost rare. The ultimate way for a movie to be a game is if people were tricked into thinking they were watching a film if they...

There wasn't any one goal.

Maybe a game inventor stood still staring at a watch for hrs thinking the hands where guns shooting at numbers. How's that for killing time he said. His friend replied, not enough. Friend wanted to aim the hands on the clock freely so he used something digital and reworked the placement of the watch. Now it's time to kill he said. The inventor said, we can call the numbers points. The friend said, but secretly they are people.
"My creator said he made me the perfect woman... but I cannot taste... or experience pleasure... or feel... pain."

How can games be real if the gamers aren't real.
How did Blizzards writing go from this.
To this?
Metzen
For the same reason that it went from this.
I read tons of reviews for this, yet nobody makes any comparisons to any other games so I Redboxed it.
It's basically SWAT 4 but online.
Is it worth getting beyond the rental? Is itdead?
t-thanks /v/
