was this the best game of 2013?
>skull face is tortured because he cannot feel pain
>snake and kaz are tortured because of the intensity of their phantom pain
>venom snake unknowingly carries around the pain and guilt of big boss' memories
>skull face's face, identity, and life were stolen from him
>same thing happened to snake
>subtly asks the players to question who the villain of the story really is

they screwed the execution. more dev time and this game would have been the game fans were hyped about. as it is now it only a good game to non fans and a terrible mgs game for the fans.
Story is still great.
The "you're not solid snake in this one" thing happened again and people git buttblasted. Once that settled down, people kept shitposting about it because it was the cool thing to do.
I'm a bit miffed about the cut content, but the game is still amazing.
Anyone else buy Noctis' outfit?
I'm not rich sp I can't pull it off
I'd like if they sold his suits and Regis suit too
If I were to come on /v/ and ask people to try a game I had made - not to buy it, but just to try it - with the intention of using the feedback to make a better finished product to one day sell, would /v/ be cool with that?
Or would I be crucified? Just trying to feel out the environment here. pic unrelated
These three games were the foundation of 2D action adventure. You were dropped off on an alien world with nothing. You had to explore these mysterious Chozo planets in an open-ended fashion to find all of Samus's weapons and abilities. Players used Samus's abilites to progress further within the alien worlds. After Super Metroid what happened, why did the main series become so linear? Why did the main serious dropped the foundation it started on?
The issue isn't that the games became linear, the issue is that the games stopped fooling you into thinking they're non-linear.
Metroid has never been that open, it's just had fantastic level design that leads you to where you want to go based on visual, sound, and gameplay cues.
If you wanted a real open 2D action adventure game, you play La-mulana.
in this ITT - old /v/
Meanwhile, in Cyrodiil /v/...
Not to hijack the thread, but I'm currently playing Skyrim. And I'm trying so hard to like it. But aside from using stealth and the dwemer dungeons, I have yet to actually have any 'fun'. If anything, the majority of the game is listening to really slow (and badly acted) dialogue. Riften alone took me 10 fucking hours to get through.
Are the other Elder Scrolls games this slow and badly designed?
you can skip through the dialog...
Elder Scrolls online is way more fun than skyrim in my opinion. I am a multiplayer game fan but only ones that are open world and partly eco-based. By far the best elder scroll game
play oblivion. it has more charm and seems slightly more open ended in the quests. plus the general quests and factions quests are GOAT. atmosphere is off the charts, music, visuals are just so heartwarming, even the UI is comfy af.
feels a lot more like a proper fantasy rpg than skyrim.
also i hear morrowind is better but i tried that shit twice and it has no voice-acting, aesthetics are awful and you have no incentive to do anything story-wise or gameplay-wise, but that's my experience with it.
So whats with this game?
It looks an
interestinggame but its hard not to acknowledge that its poisoned by its autistic fan base and and subsequent hate base.
Just looking for some unbiased opinions.
The story isn't really anything new and paints the world as extremely black and white. That said, the gameplay was neat and fun enough to last me one playthrough. After that it just got boring. The music was also nice.
For some people the game is absolutely worth the full price, but I'd recommend waiting for a sale.
Is Paz the cutest video game girl?
No, that would be Kula.
Paz is a qt, though
What does /v/ think of Rocket League?
Hoops comes out this month. I know what you mean though, after you start to hit your skill plateau the games start to be almost identical to one another. There has been a lot of talk in the community recently about how SARPBC had more map diversity. The Devs seem pretty keen to keep it pretty simple in the way of map design for now though.
Tell me what tedious videogame shit you're doing right now, /v/.
I don't want to be alone.
Are you grinding? Looking for a rare drop?
Rust with friends.
>4days till server wipe
>Friend insists we should all buil a new base
>I suggest we just get weapons and explosives and go all out last day before wipe
>"Uh, if you want to just lose it all, sure."
>Am now just farming for metal and sulfur
What games are there where I can incest? Serious question, either non-blood related or actual is fine.
How do I trigger the birthday event in the japanese version of the game?
Official Final Fantasy XV live event thread
