When did you realize a good story was more important for a videogame than the multiplayer aspects?
Since Super Metroid.
But overdone narritive in the form of long drawn cinematics is bad for a game, iot deers the player and drags on keeping them from actually enjoying or doing anything.
If theres going to be story in a game, it has to be told through actions and the adventure, not forcefed in words or "lore"
Was it really designed for casuals? I remember "go back to counterstrike" and "cs kiddie" as popular e-insults in the early 2000s
I started playing during Beta 1 in what, 99? I was 12 back then so my memory is shitty and I was definitely not as good of a player.
If I remember right, it was one of the first major mods for HL1. It was more "realistic" than HL's team death match or TFC or Quake.
Was it designed for casuals? I can't really answer that. With the round system it was more punishing than most other games at the time.
Is anyone else upset that split-screen multiplayer is becoming more of a rarity nowadays?
It's not like TV sets have gotten fucking smaller. There's way more screen real estate going around.
Yes. I am. With splitscreen, all you needed is one copy of the game and an extra controller. Unline on-line gaming, splitscreen last forever. We'll be able to play Smash 64 for decades. Can't say the same for console online games. It's a shame man. Split-screen is the best.
>get out of Pontif room
Is this the Dark Souls 3 PvP meme spot or something?
Before entering the Deacons of the Deep fight, I saw all those summon signs on the stairs leading down and assumed the fight must be really hard for so many to offer their help there.
Then I fought the deacons, saw they were a joke, and later read that all the signs were there because people like to be summoned for that super easy fight so they can easily get their covenant marks for beating it.
Have you ever fallen in love with a video game character?
I love Fuuka.
I want to make her life heaven, cook for her, and give her all the love and affection she needs
>I've sent my right hand to dispose of you
What did he mean by this
Vitafags on suicide watch
oh no someone else is playing one of my favourite games ever made
seriously I hope you guys are liking it and I hope it's a good port
Runescape update and noone talking about it.
>game is called runescape
>you don't run or escape
Is anyone else looking forward to FFXV coming out primarily because we will finally be able to move on from it?
ITT the "I hate top tiers!" but still has terrible taste in mains starter kit.
No Glass or Spite
I need some advice. I've been waiting for a Mac version of IMSCARED 2016, and I'm pretty sure it's not coming. That leaves me two options. I could either watch a let's play of some sort and not get the full experience, or get a pirated version someone made for Mac and risk getting a virus. Or I could keep waiting and never see it! I really loved IMSCARED classic and workshop edition, and 2016 edition connects the two and more! I'm so excited that I think I'm going to die... Thanks for reading!
So we're all in agreement that the fandom, anti-fandom, anti-anti-fandom and anti-anti-anti-fandom are all pure cancer and should not exist, right?
>this is unironically the graphics of a game of one of the most beloved franchises
Holy fuck, this boss fight is garbage.
>first half is just several knights all fucking you over at once
>you can't have a proper 1v1 with any of them because the others will just come up behind you and fuck you over
>the second half is one all over again, except with infinite stamina that literally spams several attacks a second at you
>he can also reach across the entire room with flames that literally extend even further
So difficult guise! xD
