Nothing has used the DS as a medium to such an extent to be able to convey the existence of parallel universes and the existence of the narrator being part of the other universe.
I thought sudoku was a good way to tie in the number theme the entire game had, though. It might have been anticlimactic from a challenge aspect, but thematically it worked really well.
