What went wrong?
What if Skullgirls was a Dating Sim/ VN? Would /v/ play it then? What approaches would you like to see?
Parasoul is best Skullgirl
but seriously could use more character development. It'd be nice to have a game that dwelled more on the characters
Buyers remorse thread?
>I paid full price for this dog garbage
ITT: Comfy Vidya areas
I like the forests in the witcher 3
>Yfw Nintendo and fromsoft finally forge am unholy alliance.
Will it be good?
Ive seen some gameplay videos, personally im the biggest pussy in the world and would never buy either of the Outlasts, but it looks pretty incredible. There is some gameplay trailer, or preview, where you walk through a town, it looks amazing, the amount of people and the atmosphere
What's the most generic game of all time?
what do you normally name your characters in JRPGs? stick with the originals? name everyone after people you know in real life? just give the MC your name? use names from other games/movies/etc.?
i remember naming all my not-Pokemon in Ni No Kuni after Metal Gear characters. i had one of those cat thief things named Ocelot, i had a bat named "A Hind D?!" and i vaguely remember having some huge tank type thing named "REX"
If the character already has a name then I generally leave it unless I think of something that makes me laugh.
If it's the main character and they don't have a default name and there's no honorifics used then I use my name.
How fucking shit is street fighter, if a untested, new IP fighting game can outsell it on a dead console?
This game is on sale for less than $20 on the e-shop and I'm not really sure whether or not to get it. I have never played an AA game and is this the best starting point?
seeing how it's the first 3 games, yes. it's an excellent starting point.
the sprite work is updated from the GBA version, but still retains it's charm. It's much better looking that the Phoenix Wright trilogy on Ipad, which sports shitty pencil-looking drawings in lieu of the sprites.
I recommend the Ace Attorney games to everyone.
You're trying to take a CP on Hoth but this guy jetpacks up and slaps your gf's ass. What do you do?
those jetpack guys were a meme-class, they weren't that threatening if you knew what you were doing
now the green republic guys were actually dangerous because they were packing rockets
> explosive action
> well-rounded characters
> next-gen graphics
where were you when ps4 won this generation /v/?
Thoughts on Heavy Rain?
Has it's flaws because it was originally intedned to have supernatural stuff
But it's the best of the Cage games and the only one were every character can die and the story still continues and changes
What's the worst game you've ever played /v/?
Every Monster Hunter
Every Blizzard Game ever made
the old Hitman's
Every Deus Ex that isn't the second one
bla bla your favourite game bla
Sup /v/. I'm looking for the most cliche, generic jrpg out there. Got any suggestions?
Does it really count if it invented most of the tropes that make JRPGs today cliche?
I'd say Bravely Default, if only because it basically prides itself on being as generic as possible, with some god awful ironic writing thrown into the mix.
