I'd like to preface by saying that I've never played any Resident Evil game prior to RE4. I absolutely loved RE4. I'm currently playing RE5 and really enjoying it. I was a bit hesitant because I heard so many people give RE5 shit while still praising RE4 and I just don't understand it. They really don't feel that different. I could understand why diehard fans of the old fixed-camera RE games would dislike RE5, but I would think that those same people would also hate RE4 as well.
So let's look at RE6.
In comparison to RE5, is it really...

As somebody who loves 4 and 5, 6 was a huge disappointment.
It has great gameplay surrounded by bad everything else. It's 4 campaigns that try to act as of they are self-contained. Which makes the pacing and just general flow of the game really, really bad.
Also stuff won't stop exploding.
Voicing my opinion doesn't even feel worth it anymore but here goes.
It's not bad. In fact, it's quite fun. All the nitpicks and complaints, I won't deny, but it's all a matter of perspective. If you go in wanting to hate it or thinking it'll be flawless, you'll obviously take those flaws and turn them to be the greatest offenses a game designer could make. However, if you go in wanting to have a good time and look over the unfortunately present flaws, you'll find a good time and one of the best action games of the 7th gen.
Stuff has literally been exploding since the first game, both by release and chronological order. Everything in RE explodes, get over it. If there is a vehicle, it will be blow up.
>cracking jokes and people laugh
>some guy says "Shut up you fucking faggot"
>get so embarrassed I have to leave the server
Gaming feels thread I guess
I have never played a FF game, I don't like turn based combat and have not been into the games.
This game looks good, but then sometimes the combat looks crap
is this game going to be any good?
i dont like turn based combat, there is nothing wrong with not playing games you wont like.
even ff7 I tried it but didnt like the combat so put it down would rather play alttp
>24 days until e3
What are your predictions?
What are your hopes and dreams?
>What are your predictions?
>What are your hopes and dreams?
It's E3, I'd rather not get a hope up and wait for it to get crushed like some cuck's balls under his mistress' heel.
After all the remarkable stuff that happened last year, this one is bound to be dry and boring again. Hopefully not as bad as two years ago when literally no one had a game to show.
All I want is Mass Effect gameplay. I'd like to know what those three Beth Game Studios projects are, but I don't expect to get any info on any of them any time soon. I'm very curious about new Xbox hardware.
New games and not sequels would be nice.
Am I the only one here whos played this little gem?
>tfw never localized
I loved the first game in your pic
hey /v/, I have insomnia and recently I've found that the one thing that drops me to sleep like a stone is watching speedruns. So much that I've already watched the whole archive of the AGDQ channel, and a lot of souls games speedrunners on youtube (and I dont even play souls games)
plz recommend me some other speedrun-focused channels, the only requirement is that theres must be some kind of narration, otherwise it doesnt work
I think non-autistic let's plays would work as well but I dont know anything about that
I recommend ESA, the European equivalent of the AGDQs. It's all in English.
It doesn't get interrupted by donations or any other bullshit very often either.
>tfw the only active MMORPG that isn't dumbed down for casuals will never be localized.
Good. The game looks like a steaming pile of shit. Don't get me wrong i like dragons quest, but for an mmo? no
Its better to save the resources localization takes, for something actually worth it. Difficulty is not a good reason for it.
MMO market needs risks and not traditions.
why does /v/ hold the opposite of their usual opinion on casualization when it comes to MMOs?
The minute someone likes more traditional MMOs they're a nostalgiafag or regressive. You'd never hear someone criticized for liking Half-Like over Call of Duty though.
Fire Emblem 4 finally got a redone translation patch. Still in beta, but that's cool.
Just got done with it. I feels surreal to think id is back to actually mattering in AAA
I haven't played a SP campaign this well-paced since RE4
>Sega adquiring Atlus means that they'll bring their games to Europe now!
Where were you when Halo 3 was LITERALLY CONFIRMED coming to PC?!?!?!?!?!?!?!
>Russians found information about MCC on the windows store
We're almost there lads
>level design shits on doom, half life, thief, deus ex, dark souls, tony hawk's pro skater 3 many times over
>creepy atmosphere that shits on silent hill, amnesia, skyrim many times over
>diverse and deliberately chosen for fun weapon selection with alternate firing modes that shit on doom, duke 3d, half life, serious sam, painkiller (flare gun to light stuff up, tnt, proximity tnt, voo doo doll, best shotgun feel of any game and many more)
Basically, you've not experienced...

>difficulty selection completely broken on dosbox
>no current source port
>absolute garbage texture filtering, worse than vanilla doom games
>mouse controls completely fucked, bmouse is a pain to set up and doesn't always work
Doom64EX guy is working on it but you didn't hear it from me
Would you wear gaming related clothes?
Are they going to announce Final Fantasy X-3 this year?
I only trust you, guys.
How ultimately good is Doom? Can you guys give me a shill-free, reasonable, short review?
Also curious. Made a mistake with Uncharted and want to trade it while the value is high.
