What fantasy games do cities particularly well?
Bad example: TES games
>all cities are small as fuck
>capital of the entire Empire houses probably 50-odd people
>simple street layouts (probably more to do with the size restriction than anything else)
Good example: The Witcher 3
>major city like Novigrad sprawls appropriately
>bustling streets, hundreds of people going about their business

Without the Dragons, the magic in this world will wither away...
Without magic, I'll die, and so will your ever so slim chance of becoming a
Gosh anon, you're never gonna catch me charging like that.
Where were you when the Overwatch hitbox meme died?
So I'm going into my final year of college for computing. They want us to create something from scratch pretty much, I was planning on making a basic game, much like Zelda or pokemon (simple as in 2d with few mechanics) I only know java and python.
The game I want to make is of Berserk, I plan on only doing what's covered in the original TV series, but in the style of zelda.
What language should I do it in? Java or Python with Pygame, or should I just star learning a new language? PS I have this summer break, as well as the whole college year, is it do able?
I did a similar sort of thing for my Senior Project course, it was the whole semester (4 months) plus documentation and an outline of what I planned to have accomplished. I basically got done with 2 sub-par levels and 2 classes of a faux RPG and such. If you haven't worked with graphics libraries before, it will be a challenge. It basically took me working 4-6 hours a day, plus stealing a lot of graphics, to get it done, and it was a very buggy result. Doable yes, but hopefully more polished than what I did.
I think we can all agree smartphones would be the best platform for the next Animal Crossing.
I do agree. I've been saying its a smartphone game since it was on DS. And given how little content the game has and limiting what the player can do on a daily basis, it would be the best for a smartphone. People would be more inclined to play 30 minutes of AC a day on a device they're already using rather than turn on their 3DS just to have to turn it off again.
No one will want to buy a smartphone game for more than a few dollars
And because of that they are fraught with micro-transactions and/or ads
Don't tarnish animal crossing with that shit
What did she mean by this?
She called you a rubbernecker.
Are you a rubbernecker anon?

Any games coming out you guys are looking forward to? Just talk about them, no fear of being called a shill
My Birthday is coming up and I'm thinking of saving myself some money for Deus Ex, last AAA game I bought was MGSV.
Is there a worse reason for liking a game than this one?
