What would you like to see implemented in the VR gaming world?
i fucking love emulation. playing ps2 games at 6-8x res with aa/af, shader improvements. what is not to love? do you also love emulation and revisiting old games and actually seeing thing in a not blurry way /v/?

4 could have been like its predecessors, but regardless, 5 and 6 were inevitable. fixed camera angles and tank controls wouldnt sell well today.

They're both good, Aria was made later so they had a chance to learn from previous games. If anything Aria is a successor and a good one.
So are we ever going to get a next gen portable gaming platform? I remember the current ones coming out when i was still in highschool and haven't heard about anything new since.

I know it's heresy but I don't really like to play that many old games. There's an obvious lack of quality on a technical level due to the primitive technology. Yeah sure, there's no doubt that NES and Genesis are very influential but in my opinion, their games don't hold up. The people that tend to praise the games from the 80s-90s are usually either pretending to be infatuated with them to give off the look that they're true gamers or just take influence into account when it comes to game design. I personally like to take an objective approach...

Controls notwithstanding, 2D games have aged just fine and are far superior to modern games. I agree that 3D games have aged like shit, though, and you are well within reason to avoid them.
