What is the worst finale of all time?
They Died on the Plane. Sorry.
When Christian said some people died before and some people died after, he meant the people who were not on the plane like Penny, Ben, etc.
It doesn't make much sense that Claire would be pregnant in the after life if she didn't die on the plane.
It's simply that Jack tried to make sense of his death, his brain trying to make purpose and meaning in his final moments.
It would also explain all the phenomena that is simply inexplicable. The plot holes and mythos. The Dharma initiative? It's someone trying to make sense of their death.
People keep saying to rewatch Christian's statements to Jack and hence prove that the island was real. He simply meant Jack's feelings were real, not what took place.
That's my take on it, but it's ridiculous if you think the wreckage of the plane as the last shots has no meaning. The creators wouldn't let that play during their credits if it held no meaning.
Otherwise, if the island was in fact real, then that would make the whole show pointless. You can argue all day that the show was about the characters, but then there wouldn't be so much focus on all the phenomena that took place. And that would just prove the much of the show was pointless since a huge percentage of the show is to experience the non character elements. The locations, the 'magic,' the fight of good and evil is simply introspection in your last moments.
seinfeld was pretty bad
interesting idea though
Dexter was pretty bad.
Big Love?
Breaking Bad

Stopped reading there.
Nice try, Satan.

I always thought, if they ever did a reunion showthey won't, they could have Jerry crack a joke about the sentence being longer than they thought.
>>67995145
you posted it
i know they went into Lost just making shit up that seemed cool, but i cannot fathom how fucking shit that last season was.. i just don't get it. what the fuck were they thinking? the show turned into one of those low budget SyFy shows that air at 2am, it was nothing like the other seasons, it had none of what people actually watched the show for and in the end they didn't even tie anything together anyway
how do you fuck up this badly? it baffles me. i'm still mad

The Anvil Hoarder Animated Series. I still can't believe they never found a place for all of those anvils.
Battlestar Galactica. Go ahead, try and refute this, you cannot.

Gilmore Girls had a pretty weak finale, in fact the entire last season is garbage
>>67996128
They're the same thing.

Stargate Atlantis.
Stargate Universe.
Boardwalk Empire
>>67996128
No, if you believe this you are objectively wrong. LOST Finale is disappointing to some, but it actually wraps up the story in a nice way. It gives the characters a good conclusion and you can feel somewhat satisfied with how the story ends.
Battlestar's ending completely shatters the entire show, with stupid decisions, such as Starbuck disappearing, such as the flying the ships into the sun, such as all the other bullshit that we had to suffer through.
I was pissed when it ended. I wanted to fucking find RDM and just tell him off. LOST I wasn't really angry honestly, I actually cried when I first watched it. Yes, there's some things about LOST I wish were handled better, such as the Island mythology, but overall I was satisfied with the story of the characters, something that was completely wrong and fucked up in BSG's ending.
>>67996267
>Stargate Atlantis
Atlantis finale was fine. They just thought they had another season, and it ended up not happening.
Hardly fodder for "worst finale." Happens to shows all the time.

>>67996033
The remake from the 2000s? The finale for that was great.
Only debatable part was what they did with Starbuck, everything else was pure pottery.
>>67996059
It's not about 'unhappy' endings. It's about shitty writing.

No, it wasn't great. Maybe retarded Youtube reviewer meme regurgitators think it was great, but actual TV analysts don't.

Weeds finale is pretty acceptable given the circumstances. Minus the last scene really, that part was fucking stupid.
Cult Doug GOAT though.

>>67996734
It should have ended with the death of Gus. That was the GOAT death scene for a bad guy. Instead they make some new villains that are absurdly James Bond henchman tier and draw out the series just to make more money,

It literally couldn't have worked any other way though.

what a steaming pile of shit that was
>>67995210
Seinfeld was the best sitcom finale ever in comparison to all of the others
>>67997562
I agree 100%.
The second the antagonist became "mwahah we are drug dealing NAZIS" the show turned to garbage.
Last season should have been Gus's death+Walt becoming the drug lord+his family shunning him for it. If they wanted another season it should have focused solely on Walt vs Hank.

This tbqh.

>Dexter
>Lost
>The Walking Dead (most of the seasons)
>Californication's last season
>>67997832
I thought the same, then I rewatched it and realized it was a masterpiece.
Californication is pretty bad. You can tell they're gonna break up five minutes after they get off the plane and get back together and so on and so on forever
>>67996762
>>67997562
I thought it was dumb the Nazis never said or did anything racist. It was like they just used it to make them the baddest bad guys yet without actually committing. Really liked Todd and Lydia as characters though.
>>67996267
Boardwalk Empire should have ended at season 3.
>>67996059
FOR YOOOOOOUUUUUUUU
Scrubs since it got a ninth season. It completely shat on the ending of season eight.
>>67995204
Read this entire post and, judging from the airtight analysis contained therein, it appears to be completely true and accounts for all scenarios.
Kudos on an excellent post.
>>67998863
I still count Scrubs as one of my favorite series of all time. The 9th season does not exist. 8th season was actually bretty good. Will there ever be a show that blends comedy and weight so well again?
>>67996059
Can't be worse than the rest of it
>>67995954
Fuck yes this. The Cylons and humans are suddenly fucking each other, the end

Lost finale:
"EVERYTHING YOU DO WHEN YOU'RE ALIVE MATTERS! IT'S WHAT YOU DO WHEN YOU'RE HERE THAT MATTERS!"
le two hours later
"LOL JUST KIDDING, EVERYTHING GETS KISSED BETTER IN FAKE HEAVEN! THIS MATTERS EVEN THOUGH WE SAID IT DIDN'T! P.S, everything was magic, and all the mysteries were unimportant bullshit."
Nah nigger. Lost is shit.
