Where i live, (maybe everywhere else?) BvS was a movie for all publics including kids.
I know for sure that i would have hated the movie if i was a kid, i would be complaining about how boring it was,etc. I'd prefer something like avengers in the which i wouldn't need to think at all. Just throw me some clear good guys,some clear bad guys, a clear plot, few jokes here and there for the audience + some generic fight scenes, the kid me would rate it 9/10.
Same goes for the average person who doesn't really care or know much about comic books, for them comic books are just supposed to be mindless fun you relax with.
In other words, the only people who can like the DC movies are the ones who already like the "darker" DC animated movies such as Flashpoint paradox or Under the red hood and love to see the internal struggles of the characters,etc.
I'm not saying that the general public is dumb and/or can't understand deeper plots or deeper meanings. I'm saying that they don't want deeper plots and deeper meanings in their superhero movies, they watch superhero movies for meaningless innocent fun. They don't watch to think about it days later and try to figure out the ambiguous motivation behind certain characters,etc.
Suicide squad is reshooting in order to include more jokes (likely similiar to mid-fight marvel jokes "We're still friends right?" "Depends on how hard you'll punch me" xD). The movies will suck, but the average person will enjoy this, this is the kind of superhero movie they want.
I know i won't enjoy it, i found 80% of marvel movies extremely boring. I slept during Ultron,thor,ant-man,iron-man,some other movie i forgot about. I did enjoy captain america movies tho
The only part i liked about Deadpool was the flashbacks, i really liked them. The rest of the movie? fucking boring, lame ass joke, lame ass villains,shitty plot.
So will DC basicly lower their standards to get the general public to enjoy their movies? If it's the case,their upcoming movies will suck. No better than marvel movies and the average person will still prefer marvel movies because marvel is probably better with shitty mid-fight jokes.

What the fuck is it with you DCucks and this bullshit? At least the Marvelfags don't pretend their capeshits aren't just comfy flicks and nothing more. BvS was shallower than most puddles. You can't just slap on a bunch of religious symbolism, make blatant allusions to the life of Christ in scenes with one of your characters, and then say 'look guise so deep, so profound.' And everything about that trash was abhorrent. From the acting to the writing to the directing and even to the fucking editing.
How to fix DC's problem:
- Get rid of Aquaman. He's just lame, and shit. Think of a new character
- Give Wonder Woman her 2010 design back, and completely rewrite her from scratch so she's no longer some weird half-god thing. Remove all that stupid greek god bullshit from the DC universe, and "magic" too while you're at it. Ground it more in real life and sci-fi, like Marvel. Just delete everything religious or supernatural.
- Depower EVERYONE. Especially superman. Reduce them to cinematic Marvel levels. Superman is just a strong guy who can fly, and can tank small arms fire. But if he gets hit directly with a large bomb? He's going to be seriously wounded, perhaps die. Bring back the tension. Kryptonite no longer exists, and he no longer has that crutch which really destroys any sort of narrative tensions or surprise. No more people flying around at 1000km/h like Dragonball Z firing lasers out of their eyes. It makes it extremely hard to film and do anything with copious usage of CGI.
- Batman just uses a mech suit most of the time when dealing with big supervillains like Doomsday etc so it's believable he'd even be able to keep up with people like Superman and Wonder Woman.
- No idea what to do with Green Lantern. Not sure if he can even be saved at this point. Maybe introduce him later, like Marvel did with Guardians of the Galaxy and the "space" part of their universe.
I don't think anything like this is possible. DC is fucking doomed. Their characters and world just don't work well outside of comic books and cartoons, you'd have to completely rewrite and scrap much existing lore to work in live action movies.

Its just tiring man. The driving music is nice, similar to Mad Max. But when i saw this fight scene and most of the movie for that matter I just felt like it was wayyyyy to apparent. The quarter note tri-ple-et DUHHHH theme is just fucking annoying. You could have had the background strings and drums without the big choral interludes, it feels like its trying way too hard.
