Literal children could follow an episode of Pokemon.
It parallels the original Chinpokomon episode by having all the adults playing it this time, which appropriately parodies real life, since none of the kids have smartphones. As their parents become more and more obsessed with catching them all and start squandering their life savings, the kids investigate and eventually discover the Japs are using Chinpokostops to determine where the most people congregate in each state so they can initiate a highly efficient missile strike to wipe out as many Americans as possible.
