It has the same problem as a lot of "mystery" type dramas, it does a good job of making the central mystery seem engaging at first but it's much harder to actual make the reveal satisfying towards the end of the series.

Doesn't deserve the praise it's been given, 7/10 series though. It's not bad, but it's not the second coming of Christ like some people are making it out to be. Take off the nostalgia goggles and it's very cliche and brings nothing truly original. Characters never really developed that much either. The child-acting was ok, but it was noticeably bad at times, especially the black kid. Honestly, I can't even remember the names of 80% of the characters outside of the byers family.
