The main characters are almost unbearable in the new seasons. Funnily enough, Lahey, Randy, J-Roc, Sam and most of the other side-characters still bring it and keep the show watchable.

The new seasons are definitely worse and do lack a lot of the magic but I still enjoy watching them. I think it's little things that change the feel of it for me, like all the branded products (Liquormen's Whisky) and celebrity guest stars. Last season was especially bad with that dude who wanted to live like Ricky - they definitely broke the immersion with that shit.

It's like a darker parallel universe, where everything is similar but nothing is quite the same, such as the park itself, the filming style and the characters.
