What does /tv/ think of American Beauty?
>>72072856
Used to like it a lot when I was 15 or so.
Cool, but overrated. I liked the play on expectations. Also, I felt like the teenagers story was better than Kevin Spacey's. Mid life crisis is kind of cliché.
OP here, I might get flamed for this, but its in my top 5. So far your responses are consistent wit the rest of the internet. I just don't understand, what made you go from liking to not, what happend?
There has never been a good movie with "American" or "America" in the title. Prove me wrong.

American Graffiti. American Werewolf in London.
I know I loved it as a kid, but it's probably been ten years since I last saw it
I liked it. It was surprisingly good for a movie praised by media so much. And yes, I was a teen.

I like it. The teen subplot was a bit cheesy imho, but Lesters story line was great.
A true carpe diem film.

It's funny as fuck how disappointing her tits are, no wonder Spacey didn't nail her.
It was the movie where I realized Kevin Spacey is a good actor.
