Because they have a single team overseeing the whole universe. This team makes sure that whatever movies get made they all follow a certain beat and tone that they are trying to show to the audience. This oversight has been an issue with some creators, such as Edgar Wright, who want more freedom to showcase their own ideas, but marvel team decided that universe consistency is much more important.
The MCU was planned ahead to be the way it is and has been strictly controlled to remain on path, including only choosing creators that agree with their cinematic vision. DC isn't incapable of doing the same thing, but they are playing catch-up in this game and have lacked the central organization to build a consistent universe.
I feel DC doesn't quite know what kind of cinematic universe it wants to make, while it is very clear what Marvel is trying to do.

I can't imagine how much money Marvel/Disney is raking in. Every one of the Marvel movies have been profitable (some ranking in the top of most profitable movie of all time) and then you have all the profits that come from auxiliary sources (merchandise, books, games, branding).
